The Reapers have arrived, I should go

ACCESSALLAREAS | June 1, 2012 | Review of Mass Effect 3 - PC

Mass Effect 3 is a good game. It is an understandably bleak wartime story but the mood is occasionally lightened. The weapons have a good punch to them, and the powers have impact. A particular mechanic makes you wary of the 'weight' you are carrying as this affects your power recharge times. I'm not a fan of this as I like to have the best weapons and powers, but instead I had to 'compromise'. Thankfully there is no planet mining that plagued ME2 but there is no Mako (or any other vehicles to use) and this decreases the variety in the main campaign. Personally I was hoping to pilot the Normandy or man its weapons but it doesn't happen. A multiplayer first for the series ends up lacking variety but is still enjoyable and addictive none the less. And the free multiplayer DLC packs help prolong the interest. It's also worth mentioning that ME3 is no more demanding on your PC than ME2 was.
