Good strategyAlfa8789 | Oct. 22, 2014 | Review of XCOM Enemy Unknown Overflow - PC
I haven't really played the old XCOM and I'll sound like a fan boy, but I'll keep this review short. This game is very fun and some what frustrating but is only because I was losing when I played on hard mode and getting my butt handed to me. All I can say is if you like RST games or military (REAL) simulation either way, and if you want to get away from the Call Duty generation or the FPS games this is the game for you.
Great gameAlfa8789 | Oct. 29, 2013 | Review of Dead Space - PC
Very high quality product from Electronic Arts. Game developers clearly draws inspiration from the films "Alien" by Ridley Scott and "The Thing" by John Carpenter. The atmosphere is incredible, the first minutes of total immersion in the game world. I do not remember so much in the style of atmospheric Sci-Fi games, can only be the Aliens versus Predators 2. Very interesting design of the spacecraft, all very realistic, all in their places. Interesting system upgrades, original weapon. As far as the Necromorphs, I have never been so much fun to dismember, burn and trample into the meat of an aggressive alien biomass. Personally, I was not scared to play, the game is not like horror, but kept in constant tension to the very end of the game
Bad Company 2Alfa8789 | Oct. 29, 2013 | Review of Battlefield Bad Company 2 - PC
A great game. An excellent and entertaining single player and a fun and addictive multiplayer. Features everything that should be in a game of this age. Includes intence destruction, decent graphics, unlockable and customizable classes, varying range of weapons, vehicles and of course that standard of the pc gaming world... dedicated servers. Now we want to know: when comes out Bad Company 3 ... ?
Good gameAlfa8789 | Oct. 29, 2013 | Review of Lara Croft And The Guardian of Light - PC
This game has great graphics for a top down view. it is still tomb raider, with its platforming and you still play as lara croft. gameplay is great with the way you can use bombs to create new paths, and puzzles are interesting. really consider getting a 360 controller to play it though. if you can have 3 playable characters like in Trine? I believe this game would be one of the best created.
The BestAlfa8789 | Oct. 29, 2013 | Review of Sleeping Dogs (1) - PC
Shenmue Grand Theft Auto? Yes please. Fans of either genre of games will be pleasantly surprised by this title. The combination of third person beat-em-up/martial arts games and the open world fun and randomness of a Grand Theft Auto type game is a sure winner here! And for an added bonus the story is well-crafted, involved and interesting. Voice acting is superb and the attention to detail culture-wise is nothing less than impressive! Can't lose with Sleeping Dogs.
The Best !Alfa8789 | Oct. 26, 2013 | Review of Hitman Blood Money Steam - PC
My favorite game, because of it's almost never-ending replayability. After 7 years I can still find something new and interesting if I dig deep enough into the missions. I love the locations, the music, the gameplay... It's just near-perfect. The only flaw is the kind of nutty AI, but most often it's only a minor problem.
One of the best RPGAlfa8789 | Oct. 23, 2013 | Review of Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition EU (1) - PC
Terrible port, but an otherwise amazing game. The user-created graphical mod that's been going around is a big help in making the game more enjoyable on PC, but it's a shame FromSoft could not provide this feature on launch. Keyboard/mouse support is a bit iffy, but if you use a controller everything plays great. The game itself is just incredible, reminiscent of the punishing difficulty and open exploration of classic metroidvania-style games. The story is deep and intriguing, but not handed to you on a silver platter; it must be discovered and pieced together by the player. Prepare to Die !
Good RTSAlfa8789 | Sept. 25, 2013 | Review of Company of Heroes (2) - PC
This game is very complex, and if you want to move into the online gaming grounds you'll have to prepare yourself to lose a few times without even making a dent. Many people have come to expect to play the game, and it to be a point a click. Unfortunately for them, it's not. Every unit has a purpose, and IF USED CORRECTLY is a formidable foe throughout the entire game, rather than these "Get most tech, win" games. The only thing that holds it back are online connectivity issues (Steam version). The majority of people you'll be hearing complaints that expect it to be like any other "move squad, attack squad" RTS. It's not, you have to constantly think as the game is more a battle of intelligence than anything else. And in that respect the game is so far unique.
One of the best strategy gameAlfa8789 | Sept. 20, 2013 | Review of Rome Total War - PC
The words 'epic' and 'legendary' only start to describe Rome Total War. The game is trully the greatest i have played and the shining best in the revolutionary Total War series. Rome total war covers such a grand scale of history. There are tons of factions to play as such as the Romans, Gauls, Britons, Parthians, Macedonians, Egyptians, Thracians, Germans and more. The game is excellent for strategists, those who love ancient history and who adore turn based campaigns. The soundtrack for RTW is also brilliant and the mods of this game is amazing.
Nice gameAlfa8789 | Aug. 23, 2013 | Review of Unstoppable Gorg - PC
Unstoppable Gorg is a good game. It kept the old fashioned tower defense action and excitement while delivering a fresh breath of air to the genre. The music was pretty, even though it got repetitive after a while. The only problem is that, depending on how you play, some of the towers were kind of superfluous.
Not BadAlfa8789 | Aug. 21, 2013 | Review of Earth 2160 - PC
Pretty decent game. If you liked the old Earth titles you'll like this one too. What I didn't like: The animated pictures of the hero units plainly look bad. A still, pre-drawn / rendered image would have worked better than these (the mouth animation is really poor and not sync at all). The voices aren't great either. For me this heavily impacts ambience. The controls are pretty awquard. Even though you can switch to the common Starcraft / C&C Generals controls, they don't seem to be tested well and overlap other mappings (rotate view, for example)
Good adventureAlfa8789 | July 8, 2013 | Review of The Cave - PC
It's a good game. I think of it as a mix of an adventures games. The possibility of selecting 3 from 7 characters with distinct abilities is the main positive thing about the game, because it gives you a lot of possibilities. I just think the "Cave" humour could be a little less forced but it's very funny. For 3.74 € Reccomended !
Good Premium ServiceAlfa8789 | July 3, 2013 | Review of Battlefield 3 Premium Pack - PC
Buy this service only if you play a lot multiplayer. It is very convenient because it includes all the dlc come out so far. Adds new maps, weapons, vehicles and new game modes than the basic version of Battlefield 3.
The Last RemnantAlfa8789 | June 28, 2013 | Review of The Last Remnant Overflow 1 - PC
It is similar to FF seires, but not as good. Its fighting system is interesting, but may not fit everyone's taste. The graphic is beautiful, and you have a great long epic story to go through. Characters are memorable. If not for some technical issue, it can be even better. Afterall, it is average, RPG-wise or JRPG-wise. However, It's very rare to see a JRPG being on PC, so it is actually a very good choice for people interested in JRPG but not having a gaming console.
Warhammer world in 3rd personAlfa8789 | June 28, 2013 | Review of Warhammer 40000 Space Marine SEGA - PC
For me Space Marine is the best game you can find 3rd person action, you can combine warhammer violent and brutal fights with the great engine, its the perfect game to people addicted or not to warhammer world and a great open door to its world, recommended! Multiplayer is funny, you can killed hundreds of Orks
