Suprising and funAnach | Aug. 28, 2013 | Review of Euro Truck Simulator 2
I've never been one for trucks or this genre of simulator, and I've received a few interesting comments from friends when they see me playing this night after night, but obviously I've found this quite fun to play. Driving trucks is only part of the game, buying your garage, hiring employees, purchasing and upgrading trucks, planning routes and installing mods - all of this adds to the experience.
A unique shooterAnach | Aug. 28, 2013 | Review of Sniper Elite V2
The introduction of 'bullet time' style sniper shots was entertaining at first, but this game quickly became tedious. Most missions were confined and uninspiring; the detail level was good, but nothing to write home about and the story wasn't at all memorable. However, if you like the idea of a tactical, lone-wolf style shooter, with multiple ways to complete each mission, then this is definitely worth picking up at the next sale.
300+ hours of entertainment.Anach | Aug. 28, 2013 | Review of Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition
GTA 4 is a great game in both single player and multi-player; the only complaint I have is that the performance can be a little choppy at times. Even though this is a game obviously targeted towards a male audience, both my wife and daughter have shown an interest in playing due to the authentic feel of the story and the sheer amount of open-world freedom.
Not a bad effort.Anach | Aug. 28, 2013 | Review of Max Payne 3: Complete Pack
A good follow-up to the Max Payne series, albeit in a slightly different style. While the combat became a little monotonous after a while, the story was good enough to keep me entertained. Unlike the first game, this time around they didn't appear to be pushing the limits of PC hardware, however, the game is still visually appealing.
1000 hours plus!Anach | Aug. 28, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dragonborn DNS
The previous incarnation of the Elderscrolls series kept me entertained for 6 years of game-play, and this time around it's been no different; Steam now shows my game time with Skyrim as 1000+ hours and yet I still feel there is more content within the game world that is unexplored. With the great community support and modifications available, Skyrim has the potential to become whatever you want it to be.
Actually enjoyed the story!Anach | Aug. 28, 2013 | Review of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
I enjoyed the MK series of games, and was disappointed to find this one had been banned in Australia until the recent introduction of the adult rating for video games. The original idea behind buying this game was to play some multi-player against my wife and daughter, but instead, I ended up spending more time playing single player story mode; a first for this type of game!
