Excellent single-player, story-oriented FPS

Arhkaos | May 5, 2013 | Review of BioShock Infinite (NA)

The main grip in this game is obviously the story, with its intriguing city and cast of characters, as well as interesting plot twists. The whole thing is actually reminiscent of Half-LifeĀ², with an additional philosophical layer. Even though this game isn't quite as revolutionary as HL2 was in its times, it's still fun to see a FPS with an original setting and cool story in this day and age. Controls are great and fully customizable, although I disliked the fact that you are limited to only 2 weapons at once. Graphics are amazing, this is a game that's worth having on the PC, and the sound design is equally great. Overall, this is not a perfect game, though this is probably the best single-player FPS since Half-LifeĀ² released nearly 10 years ago (excluding the first two Bioshock). This is already a classic!
