Fantastic gameBbozmen | Feb. 1, 2014 | Review of Europa Universalis IV
This game is just great. There are so many options in this game that you can do that it won't get bored even if you play for 30 hours in a game as one country. With the coming expansions there'll be more and more options for you to discover in the game. The game also has a great Steam Workshop base, so there are plenty of mods available to make your game more like you wish it to be. (for example play beyond the 1821 end game point) But if you like a game in which you can do (almost) whatever you want, then this game is probably for you. I recommend watching a few how-to-play video's for fun, or if you're thinking of buying this game. It did help me to choose to buy this game and I'm not regretting it. Almost 100 hours into this game and still counting.
Hours of funBbozmen | June 20, 2013 | Review of Anno 1404: Gold
Anno 1404 is a great game to play not only singleplayer but also on multiplayer mode. The concept starts very basic but becomes harder the longer you are in the game. You'll need to gather different items for your citizens which requires you to expand to other islands, settle near the orient and/or work together with a friend. I've played away hours with this game and you'll find yourself playing this for a couple of hours in a single sitting. It's definitely a must have if you enjoy this genre.
The only downside for me was the combat system which is pretty lame. But oh well, I hardly use it anyways, it's more fun just creating cities and trying to expand as much as possible.
An old game still worth the troubleBbozmen | June 17, 2013 | Review of Rome: Total War
Total War: Rome is an old game nowadays but it's still worth playing. If you don't mind paying 8 euro's you should definitely get it, but if it's on sale I'll call you crazy if you don't buy this. Eventhough it's visuals lack of greatness (not that weird since this game is already 9 years old) and the physics are kinda out of date the gameplay is great. You can put a lot of hours into this game just by finishing the first great campaign as a member of the Roman family. After that every nation you fully destroy become playable which offers more playable races for the next campaign! Total Ware: Rome offers you to scale unit size so if you have a computer from the 1980's you might still be able to play this game, but it can also be used for tactical strategies. If you're used to play with unit sizes up to 40 people you play different than a player who has for example 100 people within a unit.
Well, as I've said eventhough this game is old it's still worthy of playing and it's a great game to get into the athmosphere of the Roman setting before you start playing Total War: Rome II
Great RPG, hours and hours of funBbozmen | June 17, 2013 | Review of The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition
The Witcher 2 is en enormous game with hours of gameplay. There are multiple choices you can make in the game which makes sure you'll have a new experience everytime. I've read that there are 21 DIFFERENT endings so this game has a huge replayability. The visuals of this game are immense. My computer has a hard time keeping up with the visuals (GPU: AMD HD6870 CPU: AMD Phenom X4 955BE) but even on medium/high it's just beautiful. This game has a good story, which is easy to follow. Lots of quests to complete and a huge area to play in. The only downside of this game in my opinion is that you don't have free roam. You can't go back to the first phase of the game when you enter phase one. BUT every phase has a giant map to play in so it does play like a free roam.
Great (visual) game!Bbozmen | June 12, 2013 | Review of Bastion Cap
Bastion is an incredible art-like game with a rich and powerful story. You'll have to rebuild 'the Bastion' from scratch by recovering crystals. Whilst searching for the crystals you'll land in different levels which are just beautiful drawn by the makers. For me Bastion is a unique game because of the story and how it looks. This should be in your game collection if you enjoy a cool indie RPG/action game
Not badBbozmen | June 12, 2013 | Review of RooGoo
Roogoo is nice puzzle game. It's simply based on getting color A through the color A opening untill you reach the lowest platform. It starts really easy but will eventually get more and more difficult at the point that it gets annoying, especially when you try to achieve the time bonus (sometimes it feels impossible - but that does make it an addicting game!). For this kind of money it's cool to try. I've had about 6 hours into the game and am still trying to achieve some time bonusses!
Crazy funBbozmen | June 11, 2013 | Review of Saints Row: The Third dns
Saints Row the Third is a weird yet fun game. The story is utterly nonsense and the person you play is almost God-like. There are a lot of costumization options for your character. For example you can play as a Bruce Willis or some lady with giant footballs in front of her. The main story of the game is easy to follow and at a few certain points you'll have to make a choice which have an impact on the rest of the game (i.e. you can have Zombie homies or different homies after a certain point, but you'll not get both) So there is some replayability by first playing and choosing A and later choosing B.
You can easily play this co-op with a friend and that is really lots and lots of fun. Definitely worth a try!
EPIC Game!Bbozmen | June 11, 2013 | Review of Awesomenauts
This game is such an awesome platformer! You can play it online with or against your friends. Local Co-op with your friends or just solo. The game is based on 2 even sides with turrets and eventually a base which you need to destroy, whilst ofcourse your enemy tries to destroy your turrets and base. Meanwhile you can try to defeat your enemies which results in epic battles based a lot of strategy. You can't just click your attack button, no you need your different skills in order to defeat your enemies. And not only that will suffice sometimes, you need to work as a team!
Currently there are 18 characters to play which offers a lot of variety. You SHOULD buy this game!
Great football simulatorBbozmen | June 11, 2013 | Review of FIFA 13 (EU)
FIFA 13 is a great simulator with great improvements with respect to FIFA 12. The physics are much better, the dribbles are much more realistic. The difference between a Messi and a 1 star person are much more noticeable.
FIFA 13 offers a good career mode with a lot of functions, like scouting and being a coach of a national team. The AI ingame is quite annoying some times by making circles every-single-time but they get much and much better when you set their skill to professional or higher.
FIFA Ultimate team is okay, haven't played that much. I'm more an online player. However the online play hasn't had a nice finishing touch by the developers. It's almost impossible to do a 2vs2 match, because the rooms made for 2vs2 have a capacity of 50 players and when you get in and start a match not just 3 others can join but a lot more which in turn make, for example, 3vs3 matches instead of 2vs2. That's quite annoying... Online play does have it good sides. There's something called 'Seasons' in which you can grow 0 to 5 stars and have a rank based on games won/lost/draw. This is only 1vs1 and you get set up against players mostly based on your own skill.
All with all, a great game to play. I've already put over 270 hours into it! NOTE: Play this with a controller on the computer!
Worth the buyBbozmen | June 10, 2013 | Review of Darksiders
Darksiders is a fun game for hacking and slashing. With the variety of killing and doing puzzles it's a nice game which can keep you busy for 20 hours if it isn't more. In the game you can also find certain armor pieces which give you the so-called Abyssal Armor and finding all those pieces will keep you busy for quite some time if you don't know where to look.
The story is not really deep but if you are just like me and like the hacking and the slashing of enemies and doing some epic moves it's the right game for you.
Must have!Bbozmen | June 9, 2013 | Review of Civilization V: Gold Edition
This title is a must have for every turn based strategy fan. When you are playing you don't play just 10-20 turns, no you play untill you're still awake in the middle of the night after 200 turns! There are lots of different characters to play, an enormous load of achievements to get and you can win via various ways. So even if you don't like fighting others you can still win the game.
Not as good as a Final Fantasy gameBbozmen | June 9, 2013 | Review of The Last Remnant
The Last Remnant is a fun title to pick up sometimes, but not nearly as good as any Final Fantasy games. The battles are done differently with less choices to make. Its battle system is innovative, but could've been better. It has really nice graphics especially for a game launched in '09. If it is on sale it's definitely worth it. And for JRPG fans even the full price (which isn't that much) is still worth it.
