Keep on Trucking

Bumfluffous | Aug. 31, 2013 | Review of Euro Truck Simulator 2

Being a big fan of simulator games, I know only too well that the hits are very few and far between. When I heard of this game, I expected it to be like most simulator games - Poor games made to cash in on fans of the genre. Well how wrong was I. Euro Truck Simulator 2 brings to the table a huge map based on Europe for you to learn and master the art of truck driving. You start by driving other peoples trucks for cash which you will later invest into running and growing your own trucking company. Graphically, the game does a great job of giving the player a realistic working world to explore and truck in. Trucks themselves are extensively modelled on real life trucks and look great with exteriors and interiors modelled for gamers to enjoy. I found the game incredibly easy to get sucked into, hours would pass by without even noticing. Rolling down the road listening to real life radio stations was a great way to relax and de-stress. If I had to offer any downside to the game then it would have to be the cities. While the cities are great and do a great job of representing its real life counterpart, they do lack in size with most being easily explored in a few minutes. Apart from this, I really cant recommend this game enough. While some people may be on the fence about this game and thinking surely this cant be fun, it really must be played to get what is quite a unique experience in the gaming world.
