Funny game

Cavalieroscuro | May 17, 2013 | Review of Poker Night at the Inventory

This game is simply a Poker game. There is anything much to say about it. The only funny thing, is that you can choose several characters from both Valve and TellTale games: you can play as Max or the Team Fortress 2 soldier (there are Penny Arcade characters too), but that's all. If you are searching for a poker game, a cheapest one, this game could be a good choice, otherwise search for another title.

One of the best TellTale title ever

Cavalieroscuro | May 17, 2013 | Review of Wallace and Gromits: Grand Adventures

Wallace and Gromit is one of the first episodic adventure that TellTale made: based on the animated series, this title is pretty interesting, with a good story, nice puzzles and a fantastic graphic, pretty much the same of the animated series. The game is about ten hours long, but you will never get bored while playing, and you will have a lot of fun, even if you never watched a single episode of the show. If you must choose only one TellTale title, this one is the best.

For fans only

Cavalieroscuro | May 17, 2013 | Review of Jurassic Park: The Game

This game is not a good one. First, it hasn't a gameplay, all you need to do is pushing or mashing buttons when promped on screen. Is not the same experiecen of Heavy Rain, a game with a similar gameplay, because the story of this sequel is so poor that don't provides any emotions to the player. You can choose something from time to time, but no matter what, the gameplay is pretty much the same, always and always. Graphic is simply terrible: this style was good for Back to the Future, but it isn't for a Jurassic Park games...you can't make laugh a player during death scenes! This game is only "decent" for those who loved the movie and want more: for all other players, just skip this experiment, because is the worst TellTale games so far.

A great games

Cavalieroscuro | May 6, 2013 | Review of The Binding of Isaac

This game is simply the best dungeon crawler you can find at the moment for PC. Thanks to randomized dungeons and findings, every single game is different. You start as "nakes" Isaac, with no power- up at all. But defeating bosses and opening gold chests grant you new abilities, like more life or increaed damage. There are a LOT of collectibles and power-ups, but there are also power-down. You can play this game for months and never get tired of it.

A must play bundle

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of Bully & Manhunt Pack

Bully is one of the best free roaming title you can find on PC. Your journey during the school time is pure fun, the plot is entertaining and the gameplay solid. If you find GTA boring, Bully is a nice, alternative experience. Manhunt is a "hardcore" game, when you must perform murders hoping to survive the Director, in a snuff show that is simply your worst nightmare. These two games on one pack, Steam redeemable. A must!

A good action RPG

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of Mars: War Logs

Mars: War Logs is a very good title. Using a third-person brawler formula during the fight, where you must dodge if you want to survive, the plot is pretty solid, thanks to many choices you can do during the story. There is a reputation system, a non-linear quests system that grants you a second ride on the game and modify the story, just like in The Witcher 2, so if you did one action, you can't perform another. There is a bit of backtracking, but not too much, so the game never turns to be boring. Mars: War Logs finally is a pretty solid single-player experience, if you like sci-fi RPG, this game is one of the best you can find at the moment.

A hard but good game

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of RHEM 4

Just like the first three chapter, Rhem 4 is very hard to complete, even with a guide. The game is huge, the puzzles are hard, all is about exploring the location, taking note of all you can. But the game is so satisfying, expecially if you like Myst games. And...is very long. I spent 80 hours on it, and I can't completed it yet.

80

A good sequel

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider II

This sequel was so good compared to the first title. Graphis is better then the original, there are a lot of new weapon, and you can shoot even underwater. The game is HUGE, it required me two weeks to complete it without a guide. The plot is nothing special, but it is entertaining at the same time.

78

A good but hard game

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider III

This one is probably the most difficult Tomb Raider title. It is all so dark, there are too many death traps, finding the road is very hard because you can choose several patterns...but the game is good. To complete it by yourself it will require so much time, and I used a solution to pass some section, but the game is solid and funny, you can choose your level around the world after you complete the first one, there are a lot of weapons and the gameplay is pretty much the same from TR2.

50

The worst TR title...

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider VI: The Angel of Darkness

...just because Core can't complete it well. In fact, in this game there are new mechanics (like the "rpg" system when you must perform an action before perform another, ie to open a door you must strenght-up Lara), but there are also some problems too. The lag input, the non-sense story (it never explain properly why Lara is still alive), a lot of bugs. This game could be much better then this, but it is only a mediocre title.

75

A good TR

Cavalieroscuro | April 30, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider V: Chronicles

This game is probably the shortest Tom Raider title. It was developed when core was developing Angel of Darkness too, and it is the last "classic" title. It's more like a data disk then a real game, but it still very good. Into the game there are several stories settled after Tomb Raider Revelation, so you will use a young Lara Croft (when she was a teen), a Lara before the events of Tomb Raider 1, a "steatth" Lara etc. Each chapter is very short, and the game can be completed in six hours or so, but it is very good to play, expecially in some levels where new mechanics have been added.

80

A solid game

Cavalieroscuro | April 27, 2013 | Review of Mafia II Complete Pack

This pack basically includes Mafia 2 with all DLC. The first Mafia was a great and innovative game, sadly Mafia 2 isn't, but it is still a very good experience, with a good story, funny to play, very good graphic. Even the DLC are worth a ride, expecially Joe's Adventure. If you never played the game, this is the right moment.

75

A good pack

Cavalieroscuro | April 27, 2013 | Review of Kane and Lynch Pack

Kane & Lynch are two nice game. Well, the first one is better then the second chapter, it has a nice and good story, good gameplay and all. The second one is very short, the story is nothing special and also there is this "mockumentary" filter I personally didn't like at all. But the price is low, and this pack is worth the price, at least only for the first title.

75

A more of the same

Cavalieroscuro | April 27, 2013 | Review of Dead Island Riptide

Riptide is not a real sequel for Dead Island. It's like more an expansion pack, in fact it's exactly the same game, with the same gameplay, with a new story settled after the events of the prequel. Of course there are some new addictions, like new enemies and "horde moments" when you must defend yourself or a NPC from the zombies, but it's always the same stuff. If you loved the first title, you will have fun with this one too, otherwise if you find the Dead Island gameplay boring, Riptide will not be an exception.

80

A more of the same

Cavalieroscuro | April 22, 2013 | Review of Dead Island Riptide PrePurchase

Riptide is not a brand new game, but instead an expansion for Dead Island. The gameplay is the same, the only new things are, of course, the plot (that follow the main game), a new character, new vehicles and skills to develop. You can import your old characters to mantein upgrades and skills, the funny thing of the game is play online with your friend. The game is pretty solid, granting about 20-30 hours of gameplay, doing the main plot and additional side-quests. Finally, if you liked the first game, you should buy this.

78

A good old-style beat'em up

Cavalieroscuro | April 22, 2013 | Review of Sacred Citadel

The Sacred franchise, sadly, is gone down. The first Sacred with the Underworld expansion was a great and deep game, otherwise Sacred 2 was not a good title. This Sacred Citadel is the new chapter of the franchise, and is a cooperative beat'em up. The graphic style is pretty good and full of colors, and you can play with other three friends, smashing and destroying all! It's a very fun game, even if you don't know anything about Sacred, just play Citadel to have a really good experience.

85

One of the best GTA after Vice City

Cavalieroscuro | April 20, 2013 | Review of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

This GTA is one of the best after Vice City. As usually, there are a lot of things you can do without following the main plot (that is interesting, but you know, anyone play GTA for the "story"), including body building! There are both cities and rural zone, you can use also a bike to roam around! If you've never tried this saga, start here to see if you like it!

80

A great, little gem

Cavalieroscuro | April 3, 2013 | Review of Anodyne

I bought Anodyne before it was greenlighted on Humble Store, and this game is simply amazing. It has some bugs and the plot is...well, confusing, but the art direction, the stunning visuals, the soundtrack...it's a great game. Like gameplay, it reminds Legend of Zelda (but you have only one weapon, the broom, so there isn't magic, bow or boomerang), you will gain additional energy when you'll defeat a boss (or simply by exploring hidden dungeons) and during the second half of the game you will aquire the ability to jump. The game is pretty easy and short, but the interesting thing is the endgame: collecting all 49 hidden cards, additional items, exploring the debug world...yes, Anodyne is all about exploration. It's a little great game, so give it a try.

80

A good title

Cavalieroscuro | March 7, 2013 | Review of Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army

Did you love Sniper Elite? Then you should buy this, because is pretty much the same game...only with zombies. Call of Duty opened a new way, and Rebellion learned the lesson: a four player cooperative campaign in which you must kill tons of zombies. Pure fun. And the good news is that this is a stand-alone expansion, so you can play it without the base game. The price is competetive for the content offered, so give it a try!

75

A nice game for children

Cavalieroscuro | March 6, 2013 | Review of My Landscape

My Landscape is an easy and colorful game. The gameplay is pretty simple, so an "adult" has basically no interest in it, but children can find it much interesting, expecially childre of five or six years old, so they can learn new words and solve easy puzzles. If you have a son, give it a try.

90

Great puzzle game

Cavalieroscuro | March 6, 2013 | Review of The Bridge

If you loved Braid or Echochrome, then you should buy the Bridge. In this puzzle games there are a lot of hard challenges, that will require all your skills to be beaten. But yes, there are a tons of good puzzle platformer on the market at the moment, but The Bridge has one astonishing feature, its graphic side. It's like an Escher picture mixed with a black and white comic book. When you will complete the game, it will unlock another version of it with new puzzles and challenges. One of the best indie game of this year (at least, for now).

90

A great Collection

Cavalieroscuro | March 6, 2013 | Review of The Basement Collection

So, the Basement Collection is a pack of preaviously free flash games created by Edmund McMillen, one of the developers of Super Meat Boy. And the original Meat Boy prototype is still in this collection, so if you buy the pack you can bind it to your Steam account. Meat Boy is worth the whole package, with its insane difficulty, but there are also other good games, like Spewer and Time Fcuk, a very nice platformer. The real added value are the many additional content, like the soundtrack, sketches and also some games...but to unlock everything you must play the games already unlocked, beating high scores and gain achievements, The price is very low, so buy this little gem and you will play literally for days and days.

90

A great bundle

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 20, 2013 | Review of Crysis Maximum Edition (NA)

Crysis and Crysis Warhead are two great games. Forget the boring campaign of Crysis 2, because the single-player part of Crysis is really brilliant. You can reach every goal in different ways, nanosuit powers are well-designed and useful (they are not overpowered like cloak in C2, for example), the story is very interesting and the main character...has a personality! Crysis Warhead is a very good standalone expansion, where you control Psycho in a more action-oriented game then the first one, with all new features and bosses. If you can buy only one game, buy this one, it's the "masterpiece" of Crytek.

90

The last good Tomb Raider

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 19, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation

This is the last good Tomb Raider, with a nice story, a twisting ending and a very good gameplay. This chapter focus on the past of Lara Croft and her mentor, with a gameplay very similar to the first Tomb Raider. This is maybe one of the best TR title.

80

One of the best Tomb Raider

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 19, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider I

The first Tomb Raider was a little masterpiece: various "tombs" to explore, finding ancient artifacts. Hard enemies and a nice plot make you want to play this game. Levels are huge and you can easily lost yourself into them, but this is still an interesting title, much better then the Crystal Dynamic games.

80

A good but very hard platformer

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 15, 2013 | Review of Dustforce

I bought this when it was first released on Steam. The game is pretty good, basically you must jump and clean the road thanks to your broom, but the game in insanely hard. There isn't a native support for controller, so you must map it. If you liked Super Meat Boy, you will like this a lot.

90

Great game

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 11, 2013 | Review of Binary Domain Complete Pack

Binary Domain is essentially a third person shooter like Gears of War. The fact is, the game has a story, and it's an interesting one too. You can give orders to your teammate thanks to the headset, and it's very funny because you see a lot of different reaction. The game is never boring, there are a lot of different situations and also the graphic is very good. In my humble opinion, this Sega game is superior to all the Epic Games saga.

80

A good game

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 8, 2013 | Review of Dead Space 3

Dead Space 3, I say this now, is still a good game. Yes, they insert a cooperative mode (where the second player takes control of Carver), but the single player experience is near to a survival game, like Dead Space 1. If you play the campaign with a friend, the difficulty of the game will be hard, there will be more enemies, they will be strongest etc, and play the game with other people (thanks to the drop in-drop out system) is very funny. But the game has several problems too: it doesn't support 1080 resolution, loadings are too long, the plot is nothing special and, sadly, there are some boring parts. Visceral putted in a Hardcore mode, that is pretty interesting: one life, and you must restart the game from beginning if you die (you can use save point, by the way). So, finally, this Dead Space 3 is not a ugly game, but a good one with some trouble you can live on. If you loved other DS games, you will love this one too.

80

Insanely funny!

Cavalieroscuro | Feb. 1, 2013 | Review of Air Buccaneers

You loved Pirates of the Caribbean? Then you should try Air Buccaneers. You must conquer enemies airship, boarding them then defeating all the players on it. There are only four classes, but you can customize your build thanks to perks. The graphic is very good and the netcode is solid, so if you want to be a pirate...this is your chance!

80

A nice strategic game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 31, 2013 | Review of iBomber Defence

iBomber Defence is a strategic game mixed with tower defense elements. There are twenty-two levels (some for Axis, some for Allied) for three difficulty; there aren't many units, but the existing ones works well and the game require a good strategy to be beaten. The price is very low, so give it a try.

90

The best Daedalic game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 27, 2013 | Review of The Whispered World

The Whispered World is the best point and click adventure Daedalic done. The story is deep and interesting, the graphic is good and colorful, and in the ending there is a unexpected surprise. Puzzles are all logic-base, so you don't need a solution to complete it. One of the best deal at the moment on Greenman Gaming.

80

A good jrpg

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 27, 2013 | Review of Laxius Force

Except for Shining Force and fanmade games, there aren't many good jrpgs on PC. Laxius Force is one of them, so prepare yourself for hours of fighting, exploration and, sometimes, grinding to beat some bosses. The story isn't nothing special but is good enough to proceed through the game.

80

A very nice unique game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 26, 2013 | Review of Cherry Tree High Comedy Club

This game is both a simulator and a point and click game. Your task is to recruit some members to ake a comedy, and to due this you must travel around the town, doing several quest gaining skill to recruit that particular NPC. The gameplay is hard to describe, but is unique for sure. Simply try it (maybe when it is on deal), and you may love it a lot!

80

A good shoot'em up

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 26, 2013 | Review of ETHER VAPOR Remaster

The japanese-style shoot'em up are back! And this one is one of the best: A lot of levels and bosses, dynamic battles, a tons of light on screen at the same time, if you love the genre you should buy it for sure. There's no online mode, but you can replay every level to beat your score.

75

A nice platform

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 26, 2013 | Review of Eryi's Action

I bought this title when it was included in Build a Greenlight bundle, and it was a really surprise. Good graphic (it reminds me a lot Super Mario World for Super Nintendo), good gameplay (and the autosave feature is really important, so you can try your way without the problem of loose a life) and a nice soundtrack. It isn't very long, but I had a lot of fun when I played it.

90

A great DLC for a great game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 25, 2013 | Review of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation - Medieval Horror DLC

Painkiller Hell & Damnation is one of the last "arena first person shooter". The base game is so good that this DLC is simply a must: survival mode is hard as hell, but is also funny as only a few gameplay modes are today. This DLC is a nice add to the base game, including new boss, enemies and weapons. Even if I don't love the multiplayer of Painkiller (it is good, anyway), here you can find three maps, basically a remake of old Painkiller maps.

80

A nice shoot'em up

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 25, 2013 | Review of eXceed - Gun Bullet Children

Exceed is a very good shoot'em up, japanese style. It's not a long game, but his unique style (using anime-like character) can make the happiness of fan. The very interesting thing about Exceed is the dynamic difficulty setting: the more you are able to proceed trough the game, the more the game change the difficulty adapting it to your skill. This, and tha fact that three characters ara available with their unique campaign, can grant hours of gameplay if you like the genre.

65

Not so good

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 23, 2013 | Review of Space Siege

Space Siege is an action role-playing game developed by Chris Taylor and Gas Powered Game, and is the space "counter-part" of the acclaimed franchise Dungeon Siege. Space Siege takes place in the future, where Earth has been destroyed by the Kerak, an aliens race. But aliens aren't the only enemies, and you will fight worst during your adventure. There are, in fact, three possible endings for the games, but the problems is the gameplay and the game design of each levels. Gameplay is simply boring: you will do the same things again and again from the beginning to the end. The graphic and the soundtrack aren't good enough, resulting this game only a clone of Dungeon Siege, sadly a not-well realized clone. Buy it only if you are a Gas Powered fan, because looking here and there you can find better game then this.

100

A great bundle for all Sega fans

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 23, 2013 | Review of SEGA Retro Steam Bundle

This bundle is simply a must-have for retrogamers. For only 19 euro you will have access to ALL the Sega classic games (except Sonic ones) released on PC, and their HD version as for Night and Jet Set Radio. Buying this will mean don't buy anything more fore a few months, because there are hundred of solid and valid games, from Golden Axe to Ristar. Nights into Dream only is worth the whole package, a game as Sega never released another good as this one. All the games comes with a Steam key to redeem, and you can even use the 20% coupon on it.

80

A good title, but not a masterpiece

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 23, 2013 | Review of The Cave

First of all, the ones of you were expecting another masterpiece as Monkey Island was (in fact both Ron Gilbert and Tim Schaefer are involved into The Cave development) will be disappointed. The Cave, first of all, is not strictly a point & click adventure, but it's a puzzle-solving adventure game (if you ever played Trine, well, the gameplay is pretty much the same): you will gain control of seven unique character, each with his unique puzzle area and background. Sadly, these characters are not well developed, because there are no dialogue at all (only The Cave speaks sometimes) between characters. You can, of course, play the game alone or in a cooperative mode with two other players (each will take control of one character), so there are a lot of possibility to explore nearby locations and solving puzzles, because choosing different character will gain access to different locations. The game, at least, is worth his price. The game is funny and solid (there are framerate issues at the moment, but they will fix them later with a patch for syre) and it's worth every single cent of his price, but this isn't a milestone as the fans expected.

89

A good simulator

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 23, 2013 | Review of Euro Truck Simulator 2

Euro Track is a very good simulator. Each vehicles is full of details and the graphic is very good to see. There is a "campaign" mode where you must do some deliveries, and you can admire the rich enviroment the developers made. Yes, because all the road and location are modeled upon existing cities nations, like Italy. And the travels are also in "real " time. For the genre's lovers.

90

Another great Sega title

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 23, 2013 | Review of Space Channel 5: Part 2

Space Channel is a music game, one of the first title to be precise. You must essentially push the button following the thythms...and it isn't easy at all. Playing this game require a lot of patience because is hard, just like the first Parappa the Rapper, but when you master the game, it gives you a lot of satisfaction. The plot is full of non-sense and is wonderful, a psychedelic voyage in Sega's mind. One of the best Dreamcast title.

95

The whole Sonic experience

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic the Hedgehog Bundle Steam-

This bundle is simply a must. For only 25€, the price of the deal, you will own EVERY single Sonic games, improved for modern PC with compatibility and achievements (for some titles). If you are a platformer fan or simply you've never played any of the Sonic games, this offer is a must. Some titles are great, some only good, a few decent, but the whole experience is amazing.

85

A very good improvement

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 : Episode II

If you didn't like Episode 1, well, Episode 2 is completely a brand new game. The graphic side has been revisited and now is very good, there's a cooperative mode that's funny to play, the game now is FAST, and this is fantastic, a tryly Sonic sequel. And if you have the first game on the same platform you buy the second episode, you can use Metal Sonic from Sonic CD.

65

A "false" 3D remake

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I

This game basically is a "false" 3D remake of the first Sonic. Same bosses, same level, same gameplay...well, the gameplay is not really the same, because this Sonic is very "slow" compared to the other franchise title. The graphic is really nothing special, there are also "puzzle" section that are not well realized (the torchs one, for example). But, at least, it isn't a horrible sequel. Is good to be played without expecting much from it.

85

One of the best Sonic

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic CD

Sonic CD is one of the best Sonic you can play on PC. First, the CD version comes with a full motion video (two, to be precise, one opening and one ending) well realized. The gameplay is pretty much the same of the oldest title, but the game is very easy...until the race with Metal Sonic! This part is very hard, but after a few tries you will beat it. The game, sadly, is very short, maybe the shortest Sonic game at all, only two hours are required to beat it. But since the price is very low, this is really a deal you can't miss!

75

A nice Sonic

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic Adventure™ 2

Even if it isn't good as the first one, Sonic Adventures 2 DX is a good Sonic game. You can still use different characters, there is a new feature to raise your own pet (but...is not good, is not what fans want from a Sonic game), there are competitive modes to take a pause from the singleplayer game...yes, there are some mistakes and the porting is not one of the best Sega did recently, but this is still a good and honest game.

92

Sonic 3, one of the best Sonic games

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic 3 and Knuckles

In his third adventure, Sonic will find a new friend, Knuckles. The gameplay is almost the same of the old games, there is only a (little) improvement on graphic side, but this is one of the best Sonic games. You will find all the things you loved, so basically is a "more of the same". But if all the sequel maintain this quality...make more and more!

90

A sequel better then the original

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Sonic 2 takes all the good things from the first title, and replace the "boring" ones with new feature. For example, now to collect chaos emeralds you must collect fifty rings on one level, so you will enter the bonus stage that has a "false" 3D perspective. Here you must collect several rings and pass througt several checkpoints on a required time: if you success, you will obtain a chaos emerald. Collect all and you will unlock Super Sonic. You can play as Tails if you want, but using it on bonus stage is more difficult then using Sonic.

75

A nice puzzle game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine

As for Super Mario (with the game Doctor Mario), this is a puzzle game dedicated to Sonic universe. The concept and gameplay are pretty simple, you must clean-up every screen from the bobbles. If you like Tetris, this is pretty much the same style.

90

One of the best 3d platformer

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic Adventure DX

When Nintendo take out his Super Mario 64, there weren't many 3D platformers on console. Sonic Adventure DX is pretty much one of the best opponent for that title. A brand new Sonic game completely in 3D, manteining both old feature (like the ring grabbing) and new ones, with giant bosses to fight on the way. The interesting thing is that in this game there are six characters, each with his own campaign, so the game will require a lot of time to be completed, but you will never get bored. The price of this GMG deal is very low, for one of the best game of all time.

90

A great classic

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 22, 2013 | Review of Sonic the Hedgehog

The first Sonic the Hedgehog was the Sega response to the best selling Nintendo Platform, Super Mario Brothers. In this game all is about speed: you must collect several rings to gain one life, and you must always have at least one ring with you to avoid to lose a life if you take one hit from enemies. Boss battle are great and hard, and you can also collect the chaos emeralds in bonus stage to see an alternate ending...and much more. This is one of the best platformer, even today, for PC and console players.

90

One of the best tennis simulation

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 21, 2013 | Review of Virtua Tennis 4

Virtua Tennis 4 is one of the most brilliant tennis simulations. The new feature of this release is a sorta of role-playing game campaign, where you can make decision making your own campaign. When you will be bothered from the single-player, you can always try the multiplayer, a very good one. Also this games comes with XBox 360 pad support, so enjoy it is very easy now.

80

A good TPS

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 19, 2013 | Review of Lost Planet 2

Lost Planet 2 is a new chapter in this franchise, and is also a very good third person shooter. It has a "drop in, drop out" feature where you can play both single or cooperative mode anytime. The graphic is really good, expecially for giant bosses you will encounter during the main campaign. The only bad thing about the game is the single-player, very boring, so play with a friend or two and you will enjoy the title for sure, even if you haven't played the first Lost Planet.

80

Basically an expansion

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 19, 2013 | Review of Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

Off the Record is basically an expansion set for Dead Rising 2, where you can use Frank West, the Dead Rising 1 main character (on XBox 360 you can use it too in an exclusive stand-alone DLC, Case West). The game is pretty much the same, the only new feature is a sandbox mode where you can continue to play when you finished the campaign mode. If you loved Dead Rising 2, this is a good way to take your time waiting for Dead Rising 3.

One of the best zombie title

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 19, 2013 | Review of Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising 2 is the sequel of the acclaimed Dear Rising (a Xbox 360 exclusive), and is basically a sandbox game where your goal is to survive and recover zombrex. As for the first titles, zombies are not the worst enemies you will encounter, there are also human beings that are much dangerous than the undeads. The new feature of this chapter is the workbench, where you must create or combine existing weapons into new deadly ones. You can also play with a friend into a cooperative mode, a new way to play the game. If you haven't tried this saga, make it now with this low price, is worth every cent of it.

Another useless DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 18, 2013 | Review of Darksiders II: Mortis DLC

As for the other non-story DLC, this one is completely useless. It adds a new weapon, that's all. If you love to view this new piece of equipment on Death, buy it, but otherwise you can skip it and conserve your money.

75

A nice DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 18, 2013 | Review of Darksiders II: Abyssal Forge DLC

Maybe this is one of the best DLC for Darksiders 2, included into the season pass of the game. Your must essentially beat a dungeon, solving several puzzles along the way. Doing this will require about one hour and thirty, and maybe you will get bored before complete it, because there aren't new thing to do. By the way, this is for sure one of the best DLC for the game.

90

A good game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 17, 2013 | Review of International Snooker

This snooker simulator is really good. You can choose among different modes, on both single and multiplayer. There are a lot of tournaments, a practice mode to learn the basic and all you can ask for a simulator like this.

90

Great game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 17, 2013 | Review of Kairo DNS

Kairo is not a game, it is an experience. Just like Dear Esther and Fez, is all about exploring this phantom land, with a sense of wonder and mistery. There are some puzzles, yes, and this make the game similar to Myst in one way, but Kairo is one of the best experience you can do on PC gaming.

80

A very good DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 17, 2013 | Review of Iron Front: Liberation 1944 - D-Day DLC

This expansion of Iron Front adds a brand new campaign in which you can revive the 1944 D-Day. A lot of new weapons, vehicles and the Allies faction, can grant hours of additional play, both in single and multiplayer. Probably one of the best DLC for this game.

80

A very nice game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 16, 2013 | Review of Tiny & Big: Grandpa's Leftovers Soundtrack Edition

Tiny and Big is essentially a platformer, where you must travel among six level to recover your leftovers. To help you in your quest, you have a cutter that can modify locations nearby to reach places otherwhise you can't. The game is very interesting, but it is very short also. One hour and thirty is the time you will take to fully complete it (without finding the secrets, by the way), and there is no replayabiliy.

45

Another tps

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 16, 2013 | Review of Alien Shooter

This third person shooter is not really a good one. It has not a real plot, gameplay is boring like hell and it can be completed in three hours at least. There are many other games much better then this, like Alien Swarm from Valve, so avoid it because, even if it is cheap, it isn't worth it for sure.

70

A good DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 16, 2013 | Review of The Sims 3: Monte Vista

This DLC adds several things to the core game. You can now cook many foods (even pizza!), there are new items to customize your character and so sn. If you already bought any of the existing expansion set for The Sims 3, this one is pretty much the same. Even if it isn't strictly necessary, buy it if you are a Sims fan and you can't live without new contents.

80

One of the best DLC at the moment

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 15, 2013 | Review of Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt

I really loved Borderland 2, and developers continue to support it adding these expansion. This is, basically, a brand new little campaign based on hunt. There are new locations and vehicles, new enemies and so on. It is about 5 additional hours of gameplay, so if you like the base game, it is worth it for sure, even at full price.

80

A very good add-on

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 15, 2013 | Review of Airline Tycoon 2: Honey Airlines DLC DNS

This DLC adds a new little campaign (two mission only) with the hilarious character of Mario Zucchero, an italian guy, and a new airline, the Honey Airlines. The DLC is very short, around two hours, but it adds several features to base game.

90

A good rpg

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 15, 2013 | Review of Krater - Collector's Edition

Krater is a very good rpg. It isn't much difficult, but later in the game will prove your skills for sure. The plot is good indeed, with a good use of dark humor. The dungeon are randomized, so you can play the game again and again, even with your friends on cooperative mode. For this price, Krater is a must-buy for sure.

80

A good platform adventure

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of Alice: Madness Returns

This game is not American Mc Gee's Alice, so it isn't a masterpiece. But it still a very good game. The plot explain what happened to Alice after the first game, involving her parents murderer. There are a lots of location, some wonderful, some not great. Basically the game is good, but it has one thing I disliked: it require too time to compelte it. You will do the same thing over and over, and you will got bored soon. But, except for that, it is a very good game, expecially if you play in on Nightmare difficulty.

80

A good sequel

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of Chaos on Deponia

This is simply the second chapter od the Deponia trilogy. Graphic, sound and gameplay are pretty much the same, so if you enjoyed the first title, well, you must buy this. Puzzles are easy enough but the game is still interesting thanks to its humor. It required me about seven hours to fully complete it, but I never got bored during this.

50

Mediocre FPS

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of Homefront

The unique interesting thing of this game is the plot (but the ending is simply horrible): all the other things are taken from Call of Duty series, and the game suffers of many bugs. You can complete this in about three or four hours without a problem, you will not touch multiplayer because it has nothing new. Buy this for two euro and it will be a good purchase, but not waste your money on it because simply it doesn't worth it.

80

A good survival horror

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of Dead Space

I'm not a fan of space location, but Dead Space is for sure a great survival horror, at least on highest difficulties. There are situation that can kill you if you not react first, and enemies are hard to kill because you must dismember them. There are a lots of weapon, but you will use plasma cutter for the majority of the time. The plot is really good, partially ruined by the sequel's one.

80

A good action game, but not a survival horror

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2 is for sure a good action game: a lot of weapons, various enemies, a nice story, but the main problem is that is not a survival horror game. In fact, you are overpowered, and you will solve every situation easily. To insert into the game a challenge, developer introduced the Zealot difficulty, but it's not really special and you can live without play it. A good sequel, but the franchise is changed and it's not a good thing.

90

One of the best fps of this gen

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of Bulletstorm

When I first tried this game, I was thinking "Meh, another fps from Epic." Then I played it, and I discovered one of the best and funniest fps of this generation. First of all, the plot game is nothing special (it was written by Rick Remender), but it will make you several laughs thanks to his borderline character. It's like a Quentin Tarantino game, and this is good. Second, People Can Fly are under this, and this is good too, because Painkiller was one of the best old school arena fps. Basically the goal of this game is killing enemies using different ways. You can shoot them, you can kick them, you can throw them into the air using your lace or eliminate them using location's elements nearby. In fact, you must kill them with skill, as one of the main feature say. Graphic and character design is very similar to Gears of War series, but it's ok. If you wanna play a good game (but not too difficult, it is easy even on hardest difficulty setting), play Bulletstorm.

78

A very good game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 14, 2013 | Review of King's Bounty: Warriors of the North - Valhalla Edition

The last title of King's Bounty franchise introduces a new character, Olaf son of the Northling King that must fight the undead infesting the Northern Lands of Endoria. On the game there are also new untis, like the Vikings, but the title is very similar to the other chapters of the saga. Unfortunately there are a lots of bugs: the developers fixed some with a patch, but the work to do is long. The Valhalla Edition includes the valhalla armor set, a digital book and other stuff. For this price if you love this saga you must buy this chapter because is worth it, if you don't loved the other titles...well, leave this on the shelf.

85

One of the best "old school" action

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 12, 2013 | Review of Devil May Cry 4

The "next gen" Devil May Cry is pretty much the same game from Playstation 2 era. Level design and type of action (basically an "action" Resident Evil, in which you must explore various location, finding artifact or power-ups, then backtracking to open a door and proceed in your quest, only fighting a lot of enemies using your blade, your guns or, in this case, your arm) are the same, there's only an improvment on graphic side. The new main character, Nero, is good enough (but it's too similar to Dan'te in Devil May Cry 3), but the new demon burst is too powerful and may disbalance the game. If you liked the other chapter of this saga, you will enjoy this game too, but if you disliked them, it will be not this game that will change your idea.

65

Horrible sequel

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 9, 2013 | Review of Crysis 2: Maximum Edition (EU)

This sequel is simply horrible! The plot is hilarious and full of non-sense, you are too strong and can complete the game simply by making yourself invisible and run, the AI is stupid. The multiplayer is interesting, but the whole game is a mess.

75

Not so good

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 9, 2013 | Review of BioShock® 2 DNS

Bioshock 2 is nothing then "a more of the same". Same gameplay (they add only the Big Sister and some new enemies like the Brute) but without the amazing plot of the first game. Yes, you are a Big Daddy, but you are too weak! There's multplayer also, but it's horrible to play. Let's take a look to Minerva's Den, the "story" expansion of the game, that is better then the full game.

90

Nor really a shooter...

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 9, 2013 | Review of BioShock DNS

but a very good adventure! Bioshock 1 was one of the first impressive game of this gen, thanks to his story and gameplay. You can fight with your own weapons (that you can modify) or your powers (and there are TONS of them), or simply mixing both. The game is very long, around twenty hours, but it never bore you.

80

A nice tower defense game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 9, 2013 | Review of Sanctum

This is a very interesting tower defence game. You can set up your turrets, fighting horde of robots, but you can fight them too thanks to your own weapons. Is nothing special but is funny, especially in coop (on solo the game can be boring soon).

80

Good coop title

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 8, 2013 | Review of Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light

Well, this title, with a "Diablo" camera style, is maybe the best Tomb Raider title of this era. Plot is nothing special, of course, but cooperative mode is very funny. You must fight and solve puzzles with the help of a friend, collecting treasures and red skull. Graphic is very good and the game is about ten hours long. Can be boring if played solo, warning.

50

The worst of "new" Tomb Raider games

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 8, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider: Underworld

This is, for me, the worst of the new Tomb Raider games. There are TONS of bugs, Lara stuck in walls, visual camera is broken and you must do leap of faith too often, without see where you land, plot is terrible and you can't even recognize where to go, because all things look much the same. Also, in the PC version of the game the DLC (360 only) is missing. Avoid this Tomb Raider if you are a newbie, maybe try Anniversary, much better then this for sure.

78

Good game

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 8, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider: Legend

This is the first title by Crystal Dynamic, and is good. Yes, basically is "old-style" enough, but take off several annoying things of previous Tomb Raider games. Now Lara can moves well, not only "one block at time". Story isn't great, but it is still decent.

85

A good Tomb Raider

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 8, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider: Anniversary

This is, for sure, one of the best Tomb Raider games (since Crystal Dynamic take his hands on this series). It is, basically, a remake of the first Tomb Raider, with several location taken directly from that title, adding a brand new story that continues on Tomb Raider Underworld. If you never played this series, you can start here.

90

One of the best game I ever played

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 5, 2013 | Review of Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition

Assassin's Creed 2 is, maybe, the funniest game of this series. The plot is intriguing, gameplay is awesome and the locations too (Florence, Rome, Venice). In this version of the game there are also additional DLC, so buy this if you never played it!

82

A nice title

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 5, 2013 | Review of Edna & Harvey: The Breakout

This point and click is very good: hilarious but hard to solve at the same time. It is not too long, around four hours but hey, Monkey Island 2 can be beaten in three hours too, so it isn't a problem. The price maybe is too high, but if you buy it on deal is for sure worth it.

85

A good fps

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 5, 2013 | Review of Far Cry 3

The game is really similar to Far Cry 2, without the "boring" respawn thing. The plot, well, is nothing special, but for a sandbox it's not a great problem if it is funny to play. This is the case of Far Cry 3, if you focus only on single player part of the game.

80

A good DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Jan. 2, 2013 | Review of SpellForce 2 - Faith in Destiny Scenario 1: Flink's Secret Diary

The first of three scenarios for Spellforce 2, when you can play as one of the NPC, Flink MCWinter. The plot is settled before Faith in Destiny events, and is about three hours long. Basically, is a "more of the same", but the good is that the default price is very low. Buy it if you loved the base game, it is worth it.

90

Rome Total War Collection

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 28, 2012 | Review of Rome: Total War Collection

This pack includes Rome Total War and the expansion Alexander. The gameplay is pretty much the same of the other chapters of the series, but this one is settled in Rome, with brand new units and location. Maybe is the cheapest of Total War games at the moment, so if you want try this series, start here.

95

Medieval II Total War Complete Pack

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 28, 2012 | Review of Medieval II: Total War Collection

This pack includes Medieval II: Total War and his expansion Kingdoms. For sure, one of the best strategic games on market at the moment. A thousand of units on screen at the same time, good graphic and 3D battles make this one probably the best game of the franchise. And the price, with 66% off, is very low.

95

Total War Shogun 2 Complete Pack

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 28, 2012 | Review of Total War: Shogun 2 Collection

A pack that includes Total War Shogun and all his expansion. Granting hours and hours of gameplay, this pack is a must for strategic games lovers. If you never tried a similar game, buy this one, maybe you will descover a new genre you like. At 66% off, it is a real deal!

95

Best collection ever for strategic games

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 28, 2012 | Review of Total War Master Collection

This collection is a must. If you love strategic games, you should really buy it. It has seven of the best, if not the best at all, strategic games on sale at the moment. Eah game has infinite gameplay thanks to the multiplayer, and the campaign grants hours of gameplay. Simply buy it if you love these type of games, it is worth it even at full price.

90

Saint's Row 3 at his best

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 28, 2012 | Review of Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package

Simply this is the Ultimate edition for the game. It doesn't include all DLC but a good part of the better ones. Each DLC adds new costumes or additional missions, some are very funny to see and play. If you must buy Saint's Row 3, this version is probably the better version on sale

70

Interesting bundle

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 27, 2012 | Review of Dreamcast Collection

This Collection includes four of the greatest titles for Sega Dreamcast. Sonic Adventure was the first 3D Sonic title, and it's like a Super Mario 64, a very good platformer. Space Channel Five part 2 is a good music title, one of the first in his category. Crazy Taxi is a crazy arcade title, very fast and funny. Sega Bass is an arcade where you must...well, fish. This Collection is amazing but the porting is terrible. You can fix almost all bad things thanks to community fixes, but is annoying you must use a user fix to play it well.

80

The first Sokal game...

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 23, 2012 | Review of Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy

...and it's a little masterpiece. It has a very interesting story and puzzles, the enviroment is really good but the game is short. It's a nice experience that you must try, maybe this is the best Sokal game so far.

85

Myst-like games

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 23, 2012 | Review of RHEM Trilogy

If you loved Myst, then you will love Rhem The gameplay is puzzle-based and it's hard. It is very hard and it will require months to beat ONE game without a solution. The plot is very essential, all is about exploration and puzzle solving, so you must really like this genre to appreciate it.

80

A good adventure

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 23, 2012 | Review of A New Beginning DNS

This game is a good adventure, maybe a bit slow at the beginning. The graphic is very good, but the version I played was very bugged (some items disappeared, the game crashes etc). I think this is the Final Cut of the game, with bugs fixed, so it's for sure worth it. The developers are the same of The Whispered World, the game has a very interesting plot and make you reflect on some thing.

80

A very good action game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Resident Evil 5

The only problem with Resident Evil 5 is....that isn't a survival horror, but an action game. On solo the game is nothing special, but play it with a friend is worth the price. The story, well, is nothing special, but on this chapter we finally see one storyline close itself. Graphic is really good and easy to run even on low spec computer, soundtrack is ok (the theme during the final escape is very good, for example), the game is about ten hours long and there is also a competitive mode.

90

Good!

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Deponia DNS

The first episode of Deponia is very good. Rufus is a nice character, the cutscene cartoon-style are insanely good and the game is very funny. It is "only" six hours long, but for an episodic series itìs not bad. Puzzles are all logic-based and there are a tons of reference.

90

A must for adventure's lover

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles - Deluxe

Well, this prequel is pretty much the same as Book of Unwritten tales, with the exception of a new difficulty level. This Collector Edition (it can be redeemed on Steam) includes a nice artwork, two making off and the soundtrack. So the extra are worth the price.

90

Not properly a point and click, but still awesome

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of To The Moon

This game is a masterpiece. There are no puzzles, essentially is a visual novel, but his story, his music...are unique. This is only the first episode of a series, but try it and you will never regret.

80

Nice collection

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Doom 3 BFG Edition

This collection is for sure worth it. It contains Doom1,2 and 3 with all expansions. All games are compatible with a X360 controller, and Doom 3 has some improvement (like the light that can be activated without putting away your weapon)that makes it better. For this price, just try this piece of history.

95

Neverending platformer

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Super Meat Boy

Super Meat boys is, simply, the best platformer at the moment. No power ups or upgrades, only run jump. It is insanely hard but not impossible, essentially you must learn to play and, when you will do it, every single level completed will give you statisfaction. And now, with Super Meat World, there are infinite levels you can play created by users. A must.

77

Old-style DMC

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Devil May Cry 4

Devil May Cry 4 nothing is then an enhanced version of Devil May Cry 3. The graphic is much better, of course, but the gameplay is exactly the same from the PlayStation 2 age. Some easy puzzle, tons of enemies and a boss, a little backtracking and so on. The only new feature of this chapter is that you will gain control of Nero (you can play as Dante as well during the second half of the game) and you can fights your way thanks to the devil trigger. Except all that, it is a "more of the same" : if you loved the other Devil May Cry you should buy this for sure, but if you hate them this game will not change your idea.

90

The best fighting game of this generation

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition

Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition is, for sure, the best fighting game of this generation. It includes all the characters from Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4, plus new fighters like Yun, Yang, Oni and Evil Ryu. The game requires both Steam and Games for Windows Live to run, and you MUST have a pad to properly play it (the X30 one is the best option here). Well, there's nothing to say, just if you love fighting game buy this one because for sure is the best you can have at the moment.

85

Good game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 21, 2012 | Review of Party of Sin

This game is a sort of Trine. You can use and switch between different characters (or Sin), each with its own powers. to solve puzzles and advance on the level. Since swap thing can be boring, you can play with a friend on coop and make your life easier. The graphic is pretty good but doesn't reach the magnificent of Trine 2 one, and the soundtrack is nothing special, but the game really worth the price. It's not too long (canonical ten hours), but it is a very funny experience.

95

A legendary game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 17, 2012 | Review of NiGHTS into Dreams HD

Maybe the best Saturn game coming finally to PC. It's both a racing game and a platformer but...it's not only that. Describe it is very difficult, but this game is a little tiny masterpiece. The PC version comes with the original Saturn version, the X-Mas level and much more. If you wanna try one the killer application for Sega Saturn, then buy this now. It's worth every single cent of its price.

90

Another good collection

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 17, 2012 | Review of SEGA Megadrive Collection - Series 4

This collection includes the two Street of Rages, two of the best scrolling beat'em up I ever played. If you have a friend, this game is good today as it was twenty years ago. Plus there are other good games like Shining in the Darkness, the two Shining Force (very good jrpg). Another nostalgia collection that must be on every retrogame fan!

85

A good strategic game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 17, 2012 | Review of Swords and Soldiers

This strategic game is fast and funny to play. There are three campaigns to beat, and it will require you about 8 hours. Then, there is skirmish mode and multiplayer mode that will chain you forever! Graphic is 2D and very stylish. Basically, if you love strategic game you will be enslaved by Sword & Soldier.

70

Basically, a season pass

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 17, 2012 | Review of Assassin's Creed III: Season Pass

If you loved the base Assassin's Creed III, this pass will adds come new content, like Tyranny of King Washington for single player and some multiplayer stuff. The price, well, is high, but you can use your 25% voucher to take it or wait for a discount. Buying the singles DLC will require much more money, so this pass is "cheapest", but buy it only if you REALLY loved ACIII (or its multiplayer segment).

80

Very good game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 17, 2012 | Review of Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising 2 is one of the most funniest zombies game I ever played. Basically it's a "more of the same" of the first Dead Rising, so you will complete a lot of time based mission, rescue mission etc. The new improvement is the possibility to modify your weapon at benchwork, creating a deadly arsenal. The plot is nothing new or special, and the developers cut-out some annoying things from the prequel (surviving in this one is a LOT easier then Dead Rising 1). The graphic is very good, but sometimes when there will are too many zombies on the screen the framerate drops down. If you love zombie games, Dead Rising 2 is one of the best.

90

One of the best platform at the moment

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 12, 2012 | Review of Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

The young Giana must retrieve her sister from the evil, fat dragon. Well, this is the whole story of Giana Sister: Twisted Dreams, a sequel/remake of the original The Great Giana Sisters for Commodore 64. The game is a platform: your goal is to find the exit from every level collecting gems and a series of collectibles, using Giana powers (she can turns herself in a ball, or a dark version most powerful). Plus every level has two faces: the normal one and the silent one. At the end of every level you will gain some stars, that are used to open the boss room. These stars will be achieved due to your highscore, deaths and gems acquired...and if you will not gain enough stars, the boss room will be locked. The game is not simple at all: death is behind the corner and some passages may be frustrating, but the game is very good. Graphic is wonderful (it remembers Trine 2 in some ways) but the soundtrack is nothing special. If you want a solid platform, Giana Sister is one of the best at the moment. Plus if you buy it now you can enjoy the free christmas update that developers are releasing these day.

80

Good DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 11, 2012 | Review of Port Royale 3: New Adventures

This DLC adds five scenarios, including The Ascension of Christi and The Big Party. If you loved the base game, this DLC adds some new mechanics very funny to experiment. There is also an Iron Man Mode and a new ranking system to compare yourself in a world ladder. Nothing very new, by the way, but you can gains also five new achievements.

80

Funny and nice

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 11, 2012 | Review of Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory

Finally a good old-style platform! This game is so nice and full of colors that it's a pleasure to play. The game is not difficult at all with the exception of some later levels (so is not a Super Meat Boy clone) and can be played from all ages people. It's very long and it require me about 8 hours to fully complete it.Plus, there are two endings. If you are searching a good platform and youìve already finished Cave Story +, try this: for four euro, it is worth it even without a discount!

90

Very good because 75% off!

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of EVE Online - 30 Day Starter Pack

If you liked the free trial, why don't you try the full game? At the lowest price of 4 euro instead of 16, you can discover one of the most brilliant MMO from many years. The developer want to connect it to Dust 514 for Ps3, so maybe you wanna try it and discover why this game is so populated. The starter pack give you also some bonuses like the InterBus Catalyst and a skill book. Just try it...because for this price is worth it for sure!

90

Buy this...because it's free!

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of EVE Online - 14 Day Free Trial

Eve online is one of the best MMO at the moment. Describe it is useless because...you can try it for 14 days from yourself thanks to Greenman Gaming. This trail, in fact, is free so..grab it until you can!

95

Best "bundle" for Sega fan

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of SEGA Megadrive Collection - Series 1

If you want replay some old titles (or you want discover them for the first time), SEGA Megadrive Collection - Series 1 is one of the best bundle on the site. It contains the original Ecco the Dolphin, that alone is worth the full package. Plus there are three other great games: Golden Axe, awesome with a friend, Altered Beast (it's short but it is still fantastic) and Comix Zone, hard but funny with your rat pet. The other titles are also very good, like Space Harrier II (it was alson included in the first Shenmue). If you love retrogaming, buy this first collection, and then...buy the others!

90

One of the best collection ever

Amazing with 3 friend

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Dead Island: Game of the Year (v1)

This game on solo is simply boring. Too many quests, a decent story...but nothing more. It's playing the game with three other friends that change the whole experience. Slashing zombies is very fun and each characters have specific abilities or bonus. Escape from Banoi using mace, katana or fire weapons, and if you can't find nothing which you like, you can always create your custom weapons. The game hasn't a difficulty level, and completing all the side-quests with a friend require me thirty hours. Buy it now because the price is very low, and join a multiplayer game to have fun!

Good R-Type style shooter

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Super Chain Crusher Horizon

If you like the R-Type series, Super Chain Crusher Horizon is a must. You must fights your way over thousand enemies, making a huge, colossal kill chain, that will create BIGGER explosions. To help you on your quest, take a friend with you and blast the galaxy away. The game can run at the highest resolution of 3200x800, creating a visual stun effect. If you like the genre, this is one of the best shooter at the moment. Every single cent of his price it's worth it!

A good DLC

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Battlefield 3: Aftermath

This new DLC includes four new maps and a new game mode (it's like Conquest, but you begin the match with a gun and you must obtain other weapons on the battleground). For sure, the best map is Epicentre, where you must fight over earthquakes that modify the ground creating new passages and covers. Markaz Monolith is nothing special, because the level design of the map is very linear. Talah Market is simply a Call of Duty-based map, when to obtain kills you must run, and run, and run again (no camper here, sorry). Azadi Palace is very good also: there are many routes you can navigate thanks to Barsuk and Rhino, the two new vehicles of the DLC. There is also a new weapon, the crossbow, that is very funny to use. By the way, buy this DLC because it adds several interesting things.

Nothing new but interesting

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials

This DLC basically adds nothing to Dishonored story, because is only a collecton of several trials. If you played Mirror's Edge, you can figure it out what you will find here. I can't really appreciate this type of DLC, but there are a lots of gamers that like challenges to prove their skills. In this way, this DLC is very good, so buy it only if you are interested for the experience.

A very good adventure game!

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Secret Files Tunguska

The first Secret Files was a very good point and click adventure. First of all, the plot is very interesting, based on the 1908 explosion of Tunguska, of course. The, graphic is very good: locations are very detailed, with some nice atmospheric effects. You will travel around the world, using two characters (Nina and Max) and solving logical puzzles. To help you on your quest, you can show the hotspot using your spacebar. This version of the game includes the patch released from Animation Arts with the "extended" ending. If you've never played a Secret Files, here's well all begin!

A common FPS

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Manhunter

This game is nothing special. It has a campaign of 14 levels, but you will be soon bored by this. There are no innovations or special things that raise this game from the mediocrity. The plot is the same "war" thing we saw in many other game, and the graphic is too "old" to see (it's like Counter-Strike Source). By the way, if you have no fps to play at the moment, you can take it, maybe using a 25% discount code, because the price is not to high.

Flawless victory

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection

Three legendary fighting games in one package. Mortal Kombat is a classic, the first "enemy" of Street Fighter, and those games are, even today, very funny and hard to complete. The graphic is pretty much the same, the only thing changed is the possibility to play online and unlock achievements. For this price, buy this masterpiece now!

A very good FPS

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 10, 2012 | Review of F.E.A.R. 3

I never loved the FEAR series too much. But this chapter...well, it's very good because it's gameplay is very different from the other games. It's Call of Duty oriented, with the addiction of "bullet time" and some mechanics taken from Bulletstorm (the score system and melee running combat). Plus, there is the possibility to play the game as Point Man or Fettel, that has a completely different gameplay due to the possibility of take control of your enemies. And if you have a friend, you can play the campaign (and the multiplayer section, of course) with him. The story is also good and it closes Fear saga in a decent way. Graphic is very good and the game can run on low config machines without problems. By the way, campaign is very short (I completed it in five hours on Recruit), but for this price the game is worth it.

A very good prequel

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 7, 2012 | Review of The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles

If you loved Book of Unwritten Tales, you MUST buy this game. In this prequel you play as Captain Nate and...the Critter, of course, searching to avoid the terrible Ma'Zaz. During your quest, you will experiment pretty much the same gameplay of the first episode: dialogue and tons of logical puzzles. Yes, the puzzles are not to easy or too hard to think about, but you can raise the difficult bard by selecting the hard difficulty. Yes, there are two difficult levels, and on the second some helps are taken away and some puzzles are hard to solve. But why the price of 20€ (16 thanks to GMG promotion)? Easy: because this isn't a data disk, but a brand new chapter of Book of Unwritten Tales saga. To beat the game, in fact, you will need around ten hours on hard, pretty much the same time I used to achieve the first game. If you loved the first games, you'll buy this. Ah, I almost forgot: parodies. A lot of parodies.I found one of Portal from Valve but, of course, there are a high number of this hidden through the dialogues.

A little gem

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 7, 2012 | Review of Tiny & Big: Grandpa's Leftovers

This game is a tiny, little gem. First of all, it has an innovative gameplay. Basically all you have to do is proceed to next level using your cutter and your rope to modify and use elements like rocks or...buildings to advance. It sound simple and it is, but is very funny also. The soundtrack is another strong point of this production: in fact, you can collect several tapes unlocking additional tracks on your player. By the way, the game is very short and can be beaten in one hour and thirty (two hours if you wanna reach all secret locations), but the price of four € is almost a gift for this. It's worth it and you must buy it!

A great game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 7, 2012 | Review of Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year

The first Batman game I played, but still the best. A good graphic, a lot of gadgets, an interesting story are the ingredients for this delicious cake. The main story is about twenty hours long, taking all riddles and solving all puzzles. But the amazing thing is that you'll never be tired to play, thanks to the great plot and some nice challenges the game presents you. After you'll finish the campaign, well, there are combat and predator challenges. I beat'em all but it's hard. The Game of the Year Edition includes the additional challenges and some things available only preordering the game.

Good and funny game

Cavalieroscuro | Dec. 7, 2012 | Review of Red Faction Armageddon

I taken this game thanks to Humble THQ Bundle. I really haven't any hope in this (I'm not a Red Faction player, I only played the first a little but I haven't finished it) but...it was a funny game. The plot is nothing special (stop the alien: this is the entire story) but I had a lot of fun making indiscriminate destruction. You can literally destroy anything: bridge, stairs, some walls. And...you can rebuild them too if you need a cover. There are a lots of weapons and some nice powers (but for me, playing on Insane, they were useless), plus the graphic is very good. The game is around ten hours long and there is also a multiplayer part. The DLC, Path of War, is very nice too: there are only four mission for an additional hour of gameplay (basically, more of the same) but you can drive a tank on it (you can't do it on vanilla game). Buy it if you wanna play a funny game.

A fantastic sequel

Cavalieroscuro | Nov. 15, 2012 | Review of Batman Arkham City: Game of the Year

Batman Arkham City takes all the good things from Arkham Asylum and enhanced them with new elements. First, now you can explore a whole, new city (instead the Asylum), full of secrets (like the Riddler's trophies you can collect, each one represent a challenge for the player),you have new gadget (but you can use all the old ones, of course) and there are also many side-quests, like the Azrael and Hush ones, that are very nice to play. Graphic is pretty much the same (but on PC,thanks to DX 11, is much better then consolle version), the soundtrack is very good with some epic themes like the ones of Nolan's movies and there are also a lot of extra stuff in this Goty edition. You can beat the challenge using Nightwing and Robin, or you can confront Harley Quinn right after the end of the game on the new DLC (it's only two hours long, by the way). Arkham City is a great game even for people which hate Batman character....otherwise,if you loved the first game, buy this one,it's much better!

A good game

Cavalieroscuro | Nov. 15, 2012 | Review of Lucius

Lucius is essentially a graphic adventure. Your goal is to kill a lot of target, but doing so will require some pianification. You can't, for example, going to kill someone when you want, but you must follow some steps and finally arrive to kill him. The game is good but it has a false sense of freedom because you can't really decide nothing. To help yourself to become the "ultimate Anti-Christ" you will obtain some powers, but most of them are really usefull. Graphic is nothing special, yes the game filter is good and give the game an "ancient" look, but the 3D models of character are poor.Soundtrack is nothing special at all,you will forgot each themes after you will finish this game. But...at the end of the story, Lucius is a good graphic adventure with some problems,if you like the genre for sure you will appreciate it, if not...give it a try when it will be on deal.

Fast and funny games

Cavalieroscuro | Nov. 15, 2012 | Review of Jet Set Radio

Jet Set Radio hasn't a true story, but it's one of my favourite Dreamcast (before) and PC (now) game. Your goal is really simple: you must paint some graffiti among the city, doing trick skating away from the police, which will try to stop you. The first levels are easy, but then escaping and drawing will be a true challenge! The soundtrack of this game is really good and graphic is nice too see, with its cell shading style. Now the game is only 50% off,and you can use the 25% discount...take it and you will never regret!

Great with a friend

Cavalieroscuro | Nov. 15, 2012 | Review of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North

I bought this game several time ago on GMG.I'm a fan of LOTR and...I really enjoyed this title. The game it's like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance,an action role playing game: you can choose different abilities from the skill tree, acquiring new powers and stuff like this. The plot...well, it is nothing special at all,you will see some characters from LOTR movies but you have your own mission. The "heart" of this game is cooperative mode: you can play this way only using your internet connection (local splitscreen isn't in the PC version) but it the real value of this game.Stealing kills from a friend, defeat a huge boss with him...is fun. If you can,buy this and play with a friend, you will appreciate it for sure, even if graphic and sounds (yes, there aren't "epic" themes from the movies, sadly) are not that great
