Welcome back, XCOMDISCOMAN | May 15, 2013 | Review of XCOM: Enemy Unknown dns
As a player of the previous traditional XCOM games (not Enforcer) I welcomed this with open arms. It brought back what everyone loved about the old XCOM games and added so much good to it too. There are things like the main base being greatly improved, levelling up and also other additions such as character specializations and more interaction with the squad and affiliates.
It will please old XCOM fans as being a throwback to what made it great and making necessary additions. There isn't much else I can say other than overall I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to turn based strategy lovers and general strategy fans!
Traditional Worms with new twistsDISCOMAN | May 15, 2013 | Review of Worms: Revolution
If you liked Worms games like Armageddon, you'll love this. More customizability to your worms is very good and adds a little charm to it (although I was outraged when there was no funky voice).
Classes were one thing I didn't really like to be added. I prefer that we just have the one type of worms that do one thing and do not get any bonuses or anything silly like that. Often in matches I found it to be unfair sometimes (especially with health regeneration).
However it is not too different to the other Worms games which means it does get old rather quickly. Overall a good game however.
Fantastic story, gameplay, RPG elementsDISCOMAN | May 15, 2013 | Review of BioShock
This game is very good in many aspects. The gunplay is very good, the art and graphics are very beautiful and will hold up for a long time. The voice acting is excellent too.
The combat is very well done and has you using several guns which can be upgraded and 'hypos' which is basically a sort of magic gave to the player by injecting them into their body, its fuel for which is Adam and Eve, a sort of experience and mana played very well into the story and cleverly hinting at founding power.
I will not say much about the story as that needs to be experienced by the player themselves but I found it to be excellent and keeping you immersed within the game and its world.
Overall I really loved this game, and it made me a fan of the series back in 2007 and have replayed it a couple times (and its sequels) since.
