F.E.A.R. 3 in a nutshell.

Darklands | Dec. 9, 2012 | Review of F.E.A.R. 3

So the final game in the F.E.A.R. 3 ends up being a bit a of a disappointment. There's nothing terribly wrong with the game per say. The graphics look nice but nothing special, the gameplay is passable but the guns lack punch and impact, at least when compared to the previous games in the series. The game is also quite short (but then again the F.E.A.R. series were never famous for their longevity). The story, writing and characters are all forgettable and you'll end up being hard pressed to remember any of the details. But the game's biggest problem it's just that it isn't very terrifying or scary, it uses constantly the same tricks to try and get a reaction out of players, but it just ends up just being redundant and predictable. It's not all bad though, the co-op is actually quite fun and actually pretty original in the genre.

But still if you're just looking for a mindless shooter it's not bad way to spend a few hours, just be sure to lower your expectations when playing it.
