platform MOBAElwin | Nov. 13, 2012 | Review of Awesomenauts
While this game is a MOBA styled game, it has some big differences. being a platformer, it suits perfectly for a gamepad. the matches are also usually much shorter than matches on LoL and the like, and are 3 vs 3.
the game also have much less heroes than you've come to know from other MOBA games, but they are very different and each one is cool on its own, not to mention the game's great OST, giving each character a theme of its own.
So, what else do we have here? colorful, nice graphics, that are supposed to be a throwback to the late 80's-early 90's cartoon shows, and an easy to learn gameplay, yet hard to master. it might not be very complex, but it still can be lots of fun when playing with friends. the ability to play on the same PC is a nice addition too.
recommended if you have friends to play with!
Great fun in Co-OpElwin | Aug. 13, 2012 | Review of Borderlands Game of the Year Edition dns
the game is a combination of FPS and action-RPG, in the style of diablo with the loot and all.
The game shines when playing with friends-I'm having a blast playing it with two friends of mine. ofcourse, it's probably much better with friends than with strangers.
As for the single player experience, however-it's rather weak. I wouldn't buy this game is you only plan to play it by yourself-it's one of those games you need friends to play with.
Sadly, the game does have its share of problems-the multiplayer is being hosted through gamespy, which is much worse experience when compared to steam.
besides that-it has few small annoyances, like money not being picked up automatically(like in the newer action-rpg's) and sometimes even has game crashing bugs, thankfully, it doesn't happen too often.
Story is also rather weak, at least from what I've seen so far(haven't finished the main storyline yet).
However, even after all that, the game is still a rich and very fun experience when playing with friends. if you have friends that you can play with, and they like fps and/or rpg games-you should really get this game.
Best story ever told in a video gameElwin | Aug. 3, 2012 | Review of To The Moon Cap
The first thing that is important to know about this game, is that it's barely a game-that is, it has very little gameplay.
What it does have, however, is probably the best story I've experienced in a video game format, and also a simply amazing soundtrack. those alone make this game a must play for pretty much anyone that likes a good story.
The story is that good, that it made me cry while I played the game-and I've NEVER cried from a video game besides that one-just to explain how amazing the story is.
So, as long as you approach this game like you would approach a really good movie(the game is short, rounding up at about 4 hours)-you should have an experience that will not be easily forgotten.
