Good Start.Esikimo | April 15, 2014 | Review of Assassin's Creed™ Director's Cut Edition (NA)
Assassin's Creed is a game about assassins who want to save the world from the templars. At first I was skeptical about buying this and playing it, but after watching some gameplay I decided I need to play it. The game starts you off as Desmond miles who lives in the modern day and age. Desmond was captured by a Templar group known as Abstergo who wants to use his DNA to look at his ancestors memories. For the majority of the game you play as an assassin who has to gain trust back from the other Assassins. This assassins name is Altair. This game will take you to well known cities in the Middle East around the Third Crusade. This game has a good story to it, but it can be a bit repetitive throughout most of the game. I did not let that stop me though because I fully enjoyed the game. I loved how the free running system works in this game and how much fun I had scaling buildings. I would recommend playing this before playing Assassins Creed 2 because it does have some story elements concerning desmond. I give this game a 85 out of 100.
EmotionalEsikimo | April 15, 2014 | Review of The Walking Dead
At first i was skeptical about buying The Walking dead because I really never played a point-to-click game. After playing for about 30 minutes I was already really into the game and did not want to stop playing. In this game you will feel like the choices you make matter which is fun and heart breaking at times. The gameplay is okay, but what makes this game great is its story. This is the first game that had me almost in tears. So in The Walking Dead Season 1 you play as a man named Lee Everet. He was convicted for a crime and on his way to jail and then the story begins to unfold. Lee is around to protect a young girl named Clementine. Clem was waiting for her parents to come home, but Lee knew better and promised her on thing. That one thing is that he would take care of her. After playing trough this game I was amazed, sad, and intrigued. This game left me thinking about the story for days. If I were you and I liked adventure games with strong story behind it and don't mind the point-to-click I recommend this to you. I give this game a 95/100.
Teddy.Where are you?Esikimo | April 14, 2014 | Review of Finding Teddy
Teddy. Where are you teddy? Teddy?! Teddy?!. This game is about a young child who loses her teddy bear while she is sleeping. She must travel into a cupboard to find it. This game is a point and click game that can have somewhat difficult puzzles. What I like about this game is that it does not completely tell you what you need to do. For example you find and pick up and item you; and then you have to figure out who or what you take it to. The game has a good choice of music that fits it perfectly. I also feel like the graphics fit with the story it was trying to tell. This may look like a game for children, but any age can get into this game. I do find this game tedious and repetitive, but hey many games are like that. I give this game a solid 80 out of 100.
A surprisingly great superhero game!Esikimo | April 12, 2014 | Review of Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year
Batman Arkham Asylum is a great game and a even greater superhero game. At first I did not know if this would be really good; since most super hero games I have played were only okay or awful. This game turned my thoughts around and showed me these type of games and be great.
Arkham Asylum starts you out in well the Asylum of Gotham City. Here you meet some of Batman's greatest enemies. For example some enemies you will meet are Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, and of course the infamous Joker. As you progress through the story you will unlock many different gadgets like the batline, explosive gel, and more. The combat of this game was surprisingly amazing. I expected combat to be only okay, but it blew my mind. I was happy to see that I can actually fight like Batman. Batman as a vision that allows you to scan your environment and plan out your attacks. This tool comes in handy throughout the game. After you beat the game you are able to go back and explorer the asylum to pick up some riddler trophies. There are also challenge maps that you can play on to see how well you can play. I give Batman Arkham Asylum a 95/100. I recommend this to Batman fans and even those who love playing action games. I will always remember this game and how much fun I had each time I played it. Enjoy.
