As good as the old onesEyeless42 | June 9, 2014 | Review of DmC: Devil May Cry
The fighting mechanics are as good as always and that's pretty much all you need to know. The graphics are colorful and well done and the stages offer variety. The story is fun to follow. Still, the best part of any Devil May Cry is beating endless waves of enemies and this game delivers in that respect. You'll get used to the new Dante. I was skeptical at first but he grew on me.
A complete work of artEyeless42 | April 25, 2014 | Review of BioShock® 2
Bioshock 2 is a terrific sequel to the first game. The story elements mantain the level of the first Bioshock, delivering a simple yet compelling narrative. The graphics are great and looked wonderful when maxed out. The soundtrack is beautiful. The game mechanics stay unchanged from the first game but there are additions to the customizations you can make.
Overall this is an excellent game and above all it is a general work of art.
Fun everytimeEyeless42 | June 3, 2013 | Review of Killing Floor
Decent graphics and fun gameplay. It's all you need to know here. If you're ever in the mood to feel the rush of being chased and just fending off wave after wave of opponents this game never lets you down. If you get the chance to buy it on the cheap gift a copy to a friend of yours and have fun. There's a great variety of weapons and maps, with many additions by the community, to always keep things interesting.
A great gameEyeless42 | June 3, 2013 | Review of Crysis
The main point of this game, even in this generation of games, is its graphics. Really amazing, beautifully done. The story is pretty straightforward, as most shooters tend do be. The mechanics are also a very strong point, combat is fluid with lots of options and ways to complete each part of the game. Overall a great first-person shooter.
Story drivenEyeless42 | June 3, 2013 | Review of Alan Wake
Let's get the actual gameplay out of the way. This game is your standard survival horror experience, pretty enervating and blood pumping at times, low choice of weapons, all of that. You do get a flashlight that doubles as weapon, but it actually kill anything. The graphics are pretty good. But what really did it for me was the story line. It's compelling and interesting. If you like good thrillers/horror adventures this is a good game to delve into.
Just awesomeEyeless42 | June 1, 2013 | Review of Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year
If you like Batman this game is for you. If you've only heard of Batman this game is still for you. Great graphics, compelling plot and characters. And the best thing about it is the atmosphere. This game is so dark and non-cartoonish, which is just what The Dark Knight deserves. The game mechanics are great, the fighting is fluid, even though it takes some time to master. Even if you are not a fan of the comics, this is still a great game to play.
Still a fun gameEyeless42 | May 31, 2013 | Review of Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman is still a fun game to this date. It's challenging and always leaves you wanting more, either because the next mission is exciting or because you just almost got the one you're in. There are many ways to complete a level, from complete stealth to straight up just killing everybody. Most of the times it is your choice how you want to proceed. The graphics don't necessarily hold up to the standards of current generation games, but that shouldn't affect your view of this game. Gameplay can be a bit tricky sometimes, but practice makes perfect and that is exactly what this game is about, trying to get every little thing to be done just the right way.
