Very Repetitive

FluffyNuggets | May 11, 2013 | Review of Need for Speed Most Wanted NA Origin - PC

This is the best Need for Speed game that's been released recently but still not very good. The races are fun for the most part but you end up doing to same races over and over again for every single car to unlock stuff. For this reason alone the game is not very fun after a few hours of playing. Also, beating the most wanted drivers is pretty simple. I don't feel there's any challenge when going up against them because you'll most likely win if you don't crash a lot. The online is absolutely terrible! You get disconnected constantly and it takes multiple tries to even connect in the first place. This also affects the single player because if you're trying to beat a friends time you end up getting disconnected or can't connect in the first place. Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a fun throwaway game but there's very little reason in my opinion to continue playing it. EA needs to abandon the series in my opinion because they have obviously lost the desire to make a racing game they used to.

Good But Not Hitman

FluffyNuggets | May 11, 2013 | Review of Hitman Absolution NA - PC

I've been a huge fan of the Hitman franchise and I was counting the days till Hitman: Absolution released. Although it was wonderful to play Agent 47 again, I was very disappointed with how closed off the levels are. You used to be able to find new and interesting ways to carry out your contracts and now you are forced down a predetermined path. Yes you can still choose different ways to carry out assassinations, but you are very limited on how you reach a target. Disguises are basically useless now because you raise suspicions right away just by walking by somebody. It doesn't make sense to be in disguise and still have to sneak around and hide to avoid being seen. For me that's one of the major flaws in Absolution because you no longer have freedom to play how you want. I still enjoy playing Absolution but it just doesn't hold my attention for very long like the previous games. I feel the developers tried to change the mechanics of the game too much and it just ruins what everyone who grew up with the series loved about it.

Truly Amazing Game

FluffyNuggets | May 9, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider Steam Overflow - PC

I really wasn't expecting much from Tomb Raider since the series was getting pretty stale. I have to say, this game is just amazing. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on PC and the gameplay is varied enough that you don't feel like it's a chore playing through it. Overall I'm extremely happy with the game overall and it's been a blast to play. The only negative I can think of is the multiplayer is just throwaway stuff you usually see in games nowadays. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good single player game!

Really Good But Some Issues

FluffyNuggets | May 8, 2013 | Review of BioShock Infinite NA Post - PC

I think everyone else has touched upon how great Bioshock Infinite is so I won't go into that. I never got into the other games in the series because I found them to be rather boring and they never held my attention long enough. So far I'm really enjoying Infinite and I'm really glad I bought it. The only negatives I have to say is there's technical issues in the game that does get annoying after awhile. The first major issue is the broken directional sound in the game. Sound immediately cuts out if your not directly looking at whatever makes the sound. This becomes an issue when Elizabeth is talking to you and you end up missing half of what she said. The game world is so immersible that a bug like this just flat out ruins the entire experience while playing. Another main issue on PC (for me anyways) is random drops in performance. The FPS will drop to low 30's and the GPU utilization also drops when this happens. The card will be running at 99% usage and then plummet down to the 40's for absolutely no reason. Currently I'm using a EVGA GTX 670 FTW+ 4GB card which should be more then enough to handle the game. I never noticed the issue in the first couple of hours of the game but now it's happening constantly. I have not changed the drivers since it was running perfectly till now so who knows. I really like Bioshock Infinite but those two things make me not want to play till there's a patch, assuming there will be a patch. I know the audio issues are well known but I'm not sure if the FPS drop is also an issue affecting other people. I might advise waiting to see if the problems get patched before purchasing. It's a game that's definitely worth owning but it would be so much better if they iron out the issues at some point.
