A masterpiece on several levels.Haylel | May 17, 2013 | Review of BioShock (NA) - not live
I originally got Bioshock on release because I saw the plasmids mechanic and it seemed very x-men like and cool for a FPS to have. From opening to finish my jaw hung open, eyes starry. The city of rapture is my favorite setting of any video game in the 20+ years I've been gaming. The story is incredible and easily tops any movie I've seen in the past ten years. The weapons, plasmids, and upgrades to them are extremely satisfying and fun. Even the hacking mini-game for vending machines and such is addicting. The only downside I can even think of, is there was no way for Bioshock 2 to to even try and match the greatness of this game.
