Not That GreatILoveIL | Feb. 25, 2013 | Review of XCOM: Enemy Unknown dns
The game is pretty fun, but have 2 major downbacks: First is the graphic. The battle look very bad and not compared to a third person games, but compared to other strategy games. When you take fire it actually hit the walls and so on. The second thing that annoys me is in its gameplay. It is possible that I'm blind, but to me some shots look impossible' and it could be real frustrating at times. It is a good game but not as great as the say.
Totally worth 6$ILoveIL | Jan. 8, 2013 | Review of Sleeping Dogs: Limited Edition
I bought the game for just about 6$ (and thanks to GMG for that. You really should keep your eyes open). I'm happy I didn't dissipate more than that. This game fails in every things it tries to do.
The driving system is one of the worst I saw and this is a real drawback in a game involving much driving. The fighting really surprised me: At first I thought there is only face to face combat, so I thought they will put some endeavors creating a thrilling combat. I was aghast to discover that there are no combos at all. In fact there is only 3 sets of punching and a kick at the end. Really shameful. Then I saw that the game has gun play also. But it is no better. The story is also stupid and very shallow. Only the graphics save this game from a total disaster.
This game is a medicore at best. Avoid it!
In the Jungle the Mighty JungleILoveIL | Jan. 8, 2013 | Review of Far Cry 3
Chances are you will like this game. Its a beautiful open world FPS occurring in the jungle. The combat is fun: it knits together stealth and plain fighting very effectively. And combat isn't the only thing the game has to offer.
Alongside with the story, the game challenges you to capture enemy territory. It's a fun task requiring some planning. The driving feels surprisingly good. And there is the activity of finding chests which is quite useless and it's a pity. So if you take all of these into account you will get 30-40 hours of gaming. Not including the muliplayer and co-op that can add another 20-30 hours.
The graphics are astonishing, the sound is good and there are not notable complains about this game. The plot isn't bad at all especially comparing to other FPS.
Way too overatedILoveIL | Jan. 1, 2013 | Review of Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition
The assassin's creed franchise introduced to us a new gameplay mechanics. At start it looked promising, but very fast it gets very booring. This was true to assassin's creed 1, and was improved a little bit here, but definitely not enough.
The gameplay is pretty enjoyable at first, but no drastic changes overtime; a very simple and poor gameplay and a complete lack of challenge make a certain recipe for a crushing boreness quite soon.
There are two ways to kill a templar: stealthily or in plain combat. The stealth system feels stupid. This is because the enemies are stupid and you aren't required any special attention let alone planning. Just climb to higher grounds and you will lose your guards in no time. Probably they can't look up. And this is a strange thing because they created beautiful populated cities. The combat system is very poor too and includes mouse clicks to attack and a defence. Yes, there is no trick. click to defend indefinitely. Then click in time to counter. Add a few more clicks and you are done. Maybe you will see a nice finish move, but only a handful of these. And did I mention that you can go through the whole game without dying in combat?
Furtermore the plot is utterly stupid and failed to interest me at any point. The graphics is the only bright part here.
Frankly, I can't understand at all how this game got average score of 9.
