An excellent frame for future installmentsJackal_Squire | Oct. 8, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider
Nearly everything in the game is polished to a mirror shine. The guns feel weighty and good to use, the platforming can be quite exciting at times, the story is surprisingly involving, but it never quite meshes together. The feeling of being alone and vulnerable lasts approximately twenty minutes while Lara feels alone and vulnerable for the first half of the fifteen hour game. Though the levels are quite open for a linear shooter, progression feels very directed. Though the gunplay is good, the enemies are incredibly boring and usualy shooter tactics work up until the last fifteen minutes, where everything finally comes together.
