The best gangster/noir gameJackassman | July 14, 2014 | Review of Mafia II
Though i never liked the first one as much as everyone else, and i didn't expect so much from this sequel, it really surprised me! It has a great atmosphere, with great characters, and lovely voice acting. I personally love the 50'/60'/70's gangster movies, and stories, and this one is probably the best so far. It has kinda cliche, but dramatic storyline, with a good picture of the mafia. The only downsides are that it is not much of a sandbox (there is not many options besides doing the quests), and it is toooo damn short! This is a deal you cannot refuse... (at least when it's discounted).
Sick, yet funnyJackassman | July 14, 2014 | Review of POSTAL 2 Complete
Probably the sickest game ever, where you can just pee in random people's faces on the street, cut them half with a scythe, burning them alive, chop down their limbs... PC? Screw that too. Why is it still funny? Because you are sick too, deep down, and you only let it out when playing this game. It's a pure classic, with all it's randomness, craziness and bizarre scenes.
Born deadJackassman | June 8, 2014 | Review of Gun Monkeys
The pictures and videos of this game can easily make you feel that you want to try this game. Me and my friends got it a few months ago, and we realized that the multiplayer is literally dead. Which is bad, being a multiplayer game. It is a 1v1 arena game, one match is about 5 minutes long. It has some good ideas, the gameplay is dynamic and adrenaline pumping, it's fun to play with your friend. Or it COULD be fun atleast, because it gets so boring after 2 matches, you don't even wanna hear about it anymore. Also, you can easily 100% achievement this with your friend so... this game really not worth it.
Every RPG fan should play this!Jackassman | May 3, 2014 | Review of Dragon Age: Origins (EU)
Bioware is known for quality RPGs, like the Bard's tale, or the KotoR games, so it was never a doubt, they can do it again. And they did. Nowadays it's hard to create a unique, and creative RPG universe, but they could! This darkspawn thing is amazing, the atmosphere of the game is dark and violent, and the story is so well written! You can control a 4 member group, and you can choose, how you put this group together. The characters have own personalities and back stories, you can spend hours just talking to them in the camp (at least i really enjoyed that). Long gameplay (over 50 hours with the side missions), and it can be very difficult, because of the lots of tactical options during the battles, the game gives you. The game engine could be better (the character animations are quite awkward during the fight). I replay this game at least once a year, and i can still explore new things, and new ways to play it. A suggested RPG for every RPG fans!
The best CS so farJackassman | May 3, 2014 | Review of Counter Strike: Global Offensive
Valve did it again... It's like they can't really do a bad move with their games. Everyone thought they need a new engine to make a new Counter Strike game, well, they didn't. The improved Source engine looks amazing, the physics are better than ever, and the weapons... They implemented weapon skins, and weapon "qualities", which makes the game unique, and you can spend hours of collecting/trading/buying these, which is absolute fun. Luckily this CS doesn't have the big red error signs, and the purple/black texture glitches, so yeah... best CS ever! :D
Casual MOBAJackassman | May 1, 2014 | Review of Awesomenauts
There are lots of MOBA games out there, and you can't really show new features anymore in this genre, but Awesomenauts could. And one if it is the 2D perspective, which is really cool. The game has some balancing issues, and there is only a few maps, which makes it boring, but the devs working hard, adding new characters and trying to fix the balance. It is worth the trying, despite the bad matchmaking, it is a fun game, and if you don't like hardcore MOBA games, this is for you.
Just the usual quality from TelltaleJackassman | April 23, 2014 | Review of The Wolf Among Us
Telltale found a great way (form) to tell perfectly written stories (starting with The Walking Dead), and it is the same here. Maybe you don't have the same hard choices like in TWD, but the music, the graphical art, the atmosphere and the dialogues are all great. It also made me start reading the comics too.
