Excellent Game for the Creative Mind

Jiubatha | March 31, 2016 | Review of Cities Skyline - PC

Cities Skylines really gives the player a huge box of assets and tools to make the towns and cities they want to make. From small farming towns to sprawling mega cities, its all here. A slick UI and mostly transparent game mechanics make this easily one of the most easy to use city builders on the market. However this comes at a cost, and that cost is the simulation depth. Once you actually get in there and explore the mechanics you may be disappointed. I found myself wanting MORE data and simulations running. Modding the game however, is easy as it can be via the Steam Workshop. There is SO much content ranging from extra assets to more advanced mods allowing you to control traffic lights and supercharging the AI. If you go into Cities Skylines for the creative freedom it allows, you wont be disappointed. If you want true simulation depth and tons of graphs, well mods can help, and for me have greatly increased my enjoyment but your mileage may vary.

Great deal for a nice game.

Jiubatha | June 14, 2013 | Review of Battlefield 3 Premium Edition NA Origin - PC

This bundle is an absolute steal. For everything you get with it, it is well worth the money (on sale especially). Battlefield 3 is more than I expected it to be. I was slow on buying it, not sure if it was really worth it (being a little burned out on shooters). But I found a nice surprise. Amazing graphics, solid gameplay, responsive controls, and an overall good time. Single player is nice. It certainly has its 'wow' and dull moments, but its not worth the price tag alone. Multiplayer is where this game shines. Plenty of active servers and players, cool maps, vehicles and weapons. Destructibility is nice, but I did notice that it was toned down compared to Bad Company 2. Its certainly a fun time, and bringing some friends into mix will certainly keep you playing until the next battlefield.

Amazing Storytelling

Jiubatha | June 11, 2013 | Review of To The Moon - PC

To The Moon left a nice impression on me. It was a game that once I finished it I kept thinking about it for weeks. Every time I would talk to someone about games I would recommend To The Moon. The story of this game is what will draw you in and keep you playing. Its emotionally stimulating and can really get you thinking about certain issues the game brings up. It truly is an amazing story. The soundtrack is just as powerful as the story. I had to go buy the soundtrack after playing the game. However, the gameplay is somewhat boring and not very engaging. Its just pointing and clicking on things to make other things happen. Controlling characters can also be difficult at times, with the path finding being unruly at times. The game took me about 5 hours to complete with me really taking my time and enjoying the artwork and dialog. It could certainly be completed much faster. And even with the gameplay problems, the story just carried me through and made everything all right. Its a great game, and I would recommend to all looking for a nice intimate and emotional story.
