Not Much Improvement

JovoSK | Aug. 16, 2011 | Review of Napoleon Total War - PC

Napoleon: Total War was very similar to Empire. While the campaign was very fun to play, gameplay lacked innovation. In my opinion, this could have settled off as an expansion pack, not a full game. As with Empire, warfare is massive. Huge, fast attacks are the name of the game. Hitting your enemy from multiple sides, and outmaneuvering their troops is what wins wars, and Napoleon delivers. Unfortunately, sea battles are hard to get the hang of, and really aren't worth the time. If you can organize a match with friends, this game is sure to entertain, as multiplayer is a key component of the Total War series.

Fantastic Game

JovoSK | Aug. 16, 2011 | Review of Just Cause 2 - PC

Just Cause 2 is a masterpiece of gorgeous explosions, death-defying stunts and exciting adventures through numerous environments. Whether you are mowing down soldiers from a helicopter, or skydiving into a military base, or making a daring escape on a motorcycle, there's always something exciting to do. Visually, Just Cause 2 is breathtaking. The HDR and immaculate view distance demonstrates just how massive the game world is. Panau features a large variety of environments, ranging from cities and villages to deserts, jungles and massive mountains. Combat is fun, but rather easy. The auto-aim assists a bit, but headshots take down even the toughest enemies and bosses quickly. My only complaint with the game, however, was the story. It was less than stellar, and often took to the background amongst everything else. Overall, I give Just Cause 2 a superb 87 rating. It was a fantastic experience for me, and the lack of a major story didn't really affect me, especially since you can continue playing afterwards. I would highly recommend you pick this up, I guarantee you will enjoy it.
