Rift, as you probably know, is an MMORPG. (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game.) In some areas Rift plays like many other MMOs, such as the combat, but it does shine through in a couple places. First off, there's the Rifts. Rifts really mix up the gameplay because you don't know when one will appear or where, and once they're open they spill forth many strange creatures that you have to fend off. Another thing is the zone-wide invasions. These only occur occasionally, but when they do everyone has to fight to beat it. If you arn't able to complete it in time, more rifts open and monsters spawn all over the place, so you have to clean up the mess. Another cool thing about rift is the class system. You can basically be whatever role you want with any of the classes. While Rift is a very fun game at first, after awhile it can kind of wear on you, and cease to be the amazing game it was when you started. It is, however, definately worth trying.
Interesting GameKillerbug191 | Sept. 5, 2011 | Review of Trine - PC
Trine is a fun, intriguing game. First off let's start with the general gameplay. In Trine you can control any of three characters. A Thief, a Wizard, and a Knight. Each one has certain abilities you will need to use to help progress through the game. The Thief can shoot arrows and use a grappling hook to get up onto hard to reach spots. With the wizard, you can use your mouse to create different sized items, such as boxes, that help you get over acid pools and other deadly traps. The Knight is best used for killing the various enemies you'll run into throughout the game, as he has a shield to block arrows and other things. In addition to this, there are xp items scattered throughout the various levels. Each time you get a certain amount of xp, you level up, which gives you skill points, which you can then use to upgrade your character's abilities. Also there are chests with items in them that help you on your journey. One thing that should be mentioned are the graphics. Trine has very very nice graphics, and some of the areas are just stunning. All in all Trine is a fun game, but is a bit on the short side. Even though it's short, you can always go back and try to get all of the xp and items and find all the secrets in the levels.
