Definitely worth buyingKwydin | Feb. 10, 2014 | Review of The Walking Dead
The game is definitely worth every penny.
It has a great story line that holds the player before his monitor wanting to know what happens next. Music is also well fitted into this so it holds just the right tension. As well as that perfect comic like graphic.
A bit of shame is that no matter what choices you make, you will end at the same conclusion of each chapter, with only minor differences. Would be nice to have a choice that could change the ending outcome.
Overall one of the best story based games I've played.
A very nice short shooterKwydin | Feb. 10, 2014 | Review of Ion Assault
The game is about collecting Ion particles from the stage so you can shot them into asteroids, after destroying part of them a wave of enemies is generated to stop you from further destruction. There are few tokens like drones and mines to help you destroy asteroids and enemies, but you need to be careful as those tokes also use particles as their fire power.
The worst flaw of this game is definitely its length. You can pass the whole campaign in about 1-3h depending how many retries it takes you. So unless you plan to get few harder to get achievements you will drop this game rather quickly after passing the campaign.
To conclude Ion Assault is great to pass few hours, but after those few hours it tends to get boring.
Expected moreKwydin | Feb. 6, 2014 | Review of Jagged Alliance: Back in Action
I had more hopes for a rework of the series, well I'm slightly dissapointed.
Better graphics and nice 3D effects. Gameplay is a bit better than earlier and I really like the active pause and action planning with possibility to time actions of your merc's. Change from actions based on turn/point into times needed in active mode.
Less accessories and no more DIY accessories. Health regained instantly after applying meds (no need to wait for them to heal) - exception when your merc was revived. Merc's are employed for the whole game - it was bit of a pain to remember to renew your contract but it was more realistic + earlier you could hire more expensive merc's for a shorter time. You can only hire military by giving them a weapon personally (the pain ...) .
Overall still a fine game to play.
Good strategy gameKwydin | Feb. 6, 2014 | Review of Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes Pack
The possibility of creating new units based on the resources you actually have is wonderful + every unit pack can have unique abilities.
It's a bit like a connection of Heroes of Might and Magic with Civilization (research tree, getting an army with a champion, expanding your cities).
But the game sometimes makes you feel like it's in very late "beta" (saves glitches sometimes), also it could use some more work on AI (considering the price I expected a bit more).
Still I would recommend to play it.
