A fun MMO experience well worth the priceLexanderion | Dec. 17, 2013 | Review of Guild Wars 2: Heroic Edition (NA)
It's rare to see a subscription-free MMO be any good. They either turn out badly, or become pay2win. Guild Wars 2 does not suffer from either of those flaws, and is a fantastic game well worth the buy in investment. There are many different classes and races, the questing system has you instigated and involved and it doesn't feel like you are idle waiting around some mob to respawn. There is just so much to do, it can be a bit of a time sink. Crafting is awesome in this as well, just be careful not to spend all your gold in getting materials. All in all it's a great game. It CAN be a bit challenging for newcomers of the MMO Experience however, as both pve and pvp require good understanding of the gameplay mechanics. So grab a few friends and level together, you're better off with company that will have your back and save you from trouble!
A great gameLexanderion | Dec. 13, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition
Oblivion is an amazing game and well worth the purchase, even being over 07 years old, standing on its own as a solid Western RPG and Elder Scrolls title. If you have played Skyrim, you may be off-put by the lesser visuals. However the story alone makes this game be worth a try. The level up system and the gameplay are very similar to its newer counterpart. You'll never be bored as there is always something going on : either a ton of quests to do or just random adventuring, and of course meeting NPCs, dialogues and all that are also included. It is quite an immersive experience and you can clearly see the rots from which Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim was born years later.
A vast improvementLexanderion | Dec. 12, 2013 | Review of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn
As suggested, A Realm Reborn is a large improvement over the first edition of the Final Fantasy XIV MMO. The quest system is not complicated, leveling is not grindy and is actually fun. While the story is not intensely involving, the environment is beautiful and there is tons of lore for RPers. Endgame however is very lacking. If you're a Final Fantasy fan give this a try, I'm sure you won't regret it.
Best : leveling system, possibility of leveling different battle, field and trade jobs, missions and leveling are fun, free company system is good, explore Eorzea with friends and embark in a great adventure!
Worst : endgame is boring, very grindy, let's hope they add more content since its subscription based.
Conclusion : one of the best MMOs on the market, it has its flaws but stands on its own, strong title, recommended.
