Brilliant Enthralling GameLinkinchris | May 26, 2013 | Review of Spec Ops: The Line dns
I stepped into this game believing it to be a casual third person shooter. I was wrong completely. From the get go you are introduced to a variety of personalities for each character, some you like instantaneously and others you may feel iffy towards. That being said, it is nothing compared to how engaging the story can become. It grips you completely, from your actions characters change completely, some for the better and some for the worse. So many moments in this game have things happened and I have wished to retry the mission to see if there is any way to prevent what had just happened.
The gameplay for this game is also commendable, using the sand banks that are held back by the fragile glass to come crashing down to suffocate your enemies. This is a straight up, take cover and shoot game but it does it well enough that it isn't too tedious and it maintains the engagement needed to enjoy this title.
So if you have the cash laying around and are feeling up for a shooter of some kind or good story, pick this game up.
A Must Have for All Hitman Fans.Linkinchris | May 26, 2013 | Review of Hitman: Absolution
Now, I have played numerous hours in all the Hitman games, not in this one however. Don't let that tear you away however, it is still a good solid game with a nice variety of Kill Styles, Targets and of course the serious or sometimes humorous costumes that are available to utilize in order to Assassinate your targets.
In this Hitman however, story is key. The targets aren't contracts but more personal vendettas. They all have crossed 47 in some way or another and he is coming to collect. I enjoy Absolution completely and although it hasn't engrossed me as much previous titles I have indeed completed Missions multiple times in order to gain the Best Rating: Silent Assassin. Happy Hunting.
Bringing the best things together.Linkinchris | May 21, 2013 | Review of Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai
This was a much needed and welcome addition to the Total War series. This expansion was well worth the price and it provides hours upon hours of entertainment as you watch legions of Samurai charge into the fray while the battle becomes thick with smoke from the rifles shooting to prevent their relentless charge.
These new additions to the game change it completely, new tactics have to be formulated, sacrifices have to be made if you ever want to force the opposing army to route. So if you are a long time Shogun 2 player and pick this up, be ready to be pushed back to square one as you learn the ropes once again.
New ways to kill the inhabitants of Pandora.Linkinchris | May 21, 2013 | Review of Borderlands 2: Psycho Pack DLC
So you might like backstabbing as Zero, shooting up the place as the Gunzerker or even sitting back and letting your Turrets do the job for you as Axton, but nothing and I mean nothing beats going full on crazy and chopping every single thing apart. This character is a much needed addition to the franchise and I hope to see more characters like him in future projects.
