Classic GTA.MichalM | Aug. 9, 2013 | Review of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
What can I say, It's just the best Grand Theft Auto game I've ever played in my gaming life. With the music, storyline, characters, voice-acting, cutscenes, sandboxie city it beats every other GTA game and actually any other sandbox game created. GTA VC takes us to Vice City, which actually is 1980's Miami. At that time drug bussiness is bigger than ever. I won't spoiler the whole story but If you haven't played it yet, I think it's time to beat it now, for that price? Come on, who wouldn't buy it. It's bargain and crime to not buy it and complete it :D
Very underrated game from Bondi.MichalM | Aug. 9, 2013 | Review of LA Noire
Well, L.A. Noire is one very underrated games that Rockstar games published, It's necessary to read and listen and also, thanks to some revolutionary technology of motion capture, to look at people's reactions to questions. That's one top notch detective game, I've never experienced anything like it before, graphics are okay (We have to remember it's just a port from console) but sounds and musics are awesome and are perfectly matched with post WWII time. The only problem is an optimalization of the game, It can really eat up your hardware, literally :) But it's steal a great game to play, just take it now :D
Outstanding bundle of great gamesMichalM | Aug. 9, 2013 | Review of Max Payne Complete Bundle
Max Payne Complete Bundle is the game pack you should look for, it contain one of the best tps ever created - Max Payne, with and outstanding scenario, innovative gameplay for it's time and of course, great protagonist. Max Payne used to be a NY police officer but after one night everything changed. He entered into path of revengeance and he want to know why all of that hearbraking things happened. If you are looking for great TPS series to sit on for about 30-35h, here it is. Great Price so grab it now :)
Very old-school shooterMichalM | Aug. 1, 2013 | Review of Wolfenstein 3D
Wolfenstein 3D is a great reminder of 90s in term of fps games, Doom, Quake and this, one of the first great fps games with "3D" graphic ;) For that price, 1.24$, you should take it without any doubts. Of course, Call of Duty players won't like it because there's no "great" multiplayer and "great" graphics. But if you were kid in 90s, that's a game for you, definitely and no question about that. A lot of people in their 20s and early 30s grown up on this type of games. There's a lot of Nazi elements in this game and I love that, no censorship and no one turned into some kind of people killer because of playing it as a kid.
Really, If you like that kind of nostalgia, It's a proper game for you.
All proper Gothics in single package !MichalM | July 30, 2013 | Review of Gothic Complete Collection
If you are a fan of a proper, old-school RPG then Gothic Complete Collection is a thing you're looking for. It contains all the best Gothic franchise games (G1, G2 + Addon and G3). Maybe first two games are not great looking now but it's the story and voice-acting that makes this series awesome and one of the best. Even if you had played all of them already, it's still a package to get. Everything starts when unnamed prisoner - you, is been throwed up to Khorini's mining colony and from that point an awesome journey starts. You will enjoy world of Gothic universe with it's awesome locations and views. Grab It, Grab It Now :D
Absolute classic!MichalM | July 27, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider I
Tomb Raider I when released it showed that games can be interesting and can actually make player involved into puzzles and secrets just to collect or complete chapters. Graphics, back then, was great, it showed another level of rendering, right now, it's okay you can get used to it but for some people it will be just an old game with hideous graphics, but not for me :) When you will buy and Install this installment, you better find a "mod" to get PSX version music because it's just better :)
An actual adventure game that is fun.MichalM | July 25, 2013 | Review of The Walking Dead
TWD was actually my first ever adventure game with such a interesting world and characters. Maybe that's why it was my Top 1 game of 2012. TWD is somehow based on a comic-book created by Robert Kirkman, BTW he also is one of the directors of very popular around the world TV show The Walking Dead (Season 4 is coming soon, yay!). Back to the game, graphics are okay, Telltale games uses they own engine that already was in use in Back to the future episode game series, it's okay and actually it fits very well with the whole world in the game, not too much colors but enough to make a good look of the enviroment. Sounds are okay, voice acting is perfectly created. The game itself is for around 10-11h, most of them are talks or some kind of rail shoting or running sequences. But if you are a fan of TWD franchise overall, you have to play it, Forget about Survival Instinct, buy this. It will make your day.
The ultimate Strategy series is back !MichalM | July 24, 2013 | Review of XCOM: Enemy Unknown
XCOM, one of the greatest strategy-economy game is back even more powered up! With graphics suited for current gen hardware is a big improvement to the series, of course, as an old XCOM: Ufo Defense (UFO: Enemy Unknown) fan I see few flaws in that game. It's more open for new games, In normal difficulty level it's okay to play but the oldest fans will have to try Classic or even Hardcore difficulty level to get what they want which is fun. Graphics is okay (game is based on well-known Unreal Engine 3), optimalization is perfect and sound effects are amazing, specially when you can hear but cannot see an alien under the war cloud. There are new elements added to the game, for example sattelites that you have to launch to protect and provide yourself surveillance in other countries. It's a great comeback for an awesome strategy game series ;D
Mortal Kombat at it's finestMichalM | July 17, 2013 | Review of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
MK, You can say whatever about that series, everyone will recognise it with massive gore, blood, characters, fatalities and of course, "Get over here!" by Scorpion. Mortal Kombat "9" is taking us back to the series well-known from arcades and PlayStation console. Legendary characters like Johny Cage aka nut crusher, stunning combo moves and of course, Fatalities which were always a hallmark of MK series. MK9 is giving us all of that things + great graphic on well-known by everyone, Unreal Engine 3. Sound is also great and proper to the series. If you are fan of MK series, or fighting series overall, you have to buy it. You won't regret it.
Best game in franchiseMichalM | July 16, 2013 | Review of Mass Effect 2
It is the best, it beats ME1 with action, shooting sequences and also with dialogs and characters, I won't even start with ME3. Mass Effect 2 continues the story of Commander Shepard, recovered from Normandy SR1 crash site by corporation called Cerberus (everybody hates them :P) and our mission is to investigate the case of dissapearing human colonies, and that's the moment when great story starts. We have to collect our crew with some great characters like Jack (Subject Zero) and Grunt (Legacy), as in ME1, ME2 gives us chance to explore some great planets, and here's a lot of them, but thank god, they removed Mako vehicle that was annoying for everyone who played ME1. Graphic is okay, it's still Unreal Engine 3.5 that we all know from other games, Sounds is great (If you have 5.1 audio system, you better launch this game on it) Control system is perfect and has improved since Mass Effect 1. If this game will be on sale, go and grab it.
Best shooter of 2010MichalM | July 15, 2013 | Review of Metro 2033
Metro 2033 is based on novel of the same title. As every Post-apocalyptic game, Metro story starts at metro station called Prospekt Mira, where the antaghonist lives with his friends and stepfather Alex who saved him from rats that had attacked Artyoms home station, Timiryazevskaya. Story is just so great that everyone should just play the game or maybe even read a novel it is awesome, literally, AWESOME. About the game, the graphics is absolutely astonishing, maybe the optimalization is not so good (you really need good hardware to run this game at 1080p with ultra details and DX11 turned on to play at satisfing 30fps) but this game really bits Crysis from the throne of the best looking game created. Sounds are amazing, silencers are really silent but not too silent. The whole campaing is about 6-8h long and there's no multiplayer but that's great, it really give 4A Games chance to give the best SP experience possible. You have to play this. You really do.
In my opinion, the second best AC game of the seriesMichalM | July 15, 2013 | Review of Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition
Why second? Because it was before AC:B but after AC1, which by the way was a very good game. AC2 is taking us into a completely different history chapter, we're traveling from 12th to end of 15th and the beginning of 16th century into crazy times in renaissance Italy. We receive a completely new character, Ezio Auditore da Firenze who's trying to get revenge of his own after death of his father and brother, yeah, you could say that this kind of theme is in almost every movie/game but hey, It's Assassin's Creed. We get huge city and outskirts to explore, like Florence or Venice, we can now create and rebuild are own CITY !!! It's just great fun for good amount of money. Grab it now, it's worth it
LEGENDARY!MichalM | July 15, 2013 | Review of Grand Theft Auto IV
Grand Theft Auto, you can tell anyone that name and absolutely everyone will know what are you talking about. Iconic series of games is back and it's better then ever! It's HUGE improvement and technological gap between GTA:SA and GTA IV, the physics, the graphic, the controls, absolutely everything. As any other GTA game, GTA IV have awesome storyline, characters that are irreplaceable, voice acting is just amazing. And of course, huge map to explore, maybe not so big as it was in GTA SA but here you will play in Liberty City, bigger than ever. And of course, official multiplayer, forget about mods, forget about lags, that's a proper multiplayer that you have to experience for yourself. Better get it fast :D
Could be better but it's Deus Ex !MichalM | July 15, 2013 | Review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution
So, Deus Ex Human Revolution is one of the best games of 2011. It's great shooter RPG with huge world to explore (not sanbox but hey, still great :)) with a lot of rpg elements, skills etc. If this game could be less, hmm, Call of Dutish, that would be great because the whole potential can be broken with shooting mechanic. What's the best about that game is allowing player to have free will of completing missions, you want to do a lot of shooting and killing? here you go, there's weapon now smash enemies. You want to make everything like a proper assassin? Here's your silencer and go and do whatever you want. Great game for not so bad price :D
a Must-play before Season 2MichalM | July 10, 2013 | Review of The Walking Dead: 400 Days
Five different characters, five different stories, five different locations and one goal, to survive and find a safe place to live. All characters are well written, stories are very different from one another, We've got people from different social classes, from prisoners through kids to elderly people. This DLC is for about 2h of play but still, it's great. Every fan of Telltale's The Walking Dead should be satisfied
