Entertaining and scary!Mixters | May 26, 2012 | Review of Metro 2033
The story is actually quite good and the atmosphere that the game builds up. You are Artyom, after a nuclear war you'll have to survive in the metro tunnels. The resources are poor, and you'll have to get what you can.
This game is very entertaining but also at the same time scary. There are ghosts in the tunnels that appear scarily. The storyline is pretty much linear but there are multiple endings which you can get depending on what decisions you make in the game.
The graphics are outstanding and the game requires a quite powerful PC to be able to run on the highest settings.
Overall a good game for fans of the STALKER series and people who wants a entertaining scary first-person shooter.
Explosive and fun!Mixters | May 19, 2012 | Review of Post Apocalyptic Mayhem
I actually bought this game from you guys a couple of months back. I played it for like 2hours maximum. It was fun and entertaining but it slowly began to bore me more and more. The game is too repetitive and there's nothing new going on.
I tried to play multiplayer a while back too but there were no servers available so that was a bummer. The graphics and gameplay are mediocre but I'd hoped that they would give the game a more dynamic feeling and add more attacks and such things.
Overall it could have been a good game, but unfortunately it wasnt. Grab it if you feel really bored a day or two.
It's playable!Mixters | May 17, 2012 | Review of Homefront
The game is not that great, but not very bad either. It has its flaws, the multiplayer community is pretty dead, it doesn't stand out from games like Call Of Duty and Battlefield. The story is almost the only good thing about it, but unfortunately very short. If you'd like to buy Homefront, I'd say, only buy it if you like the story of the game and don't expect much or rather anything at all from the multiplayer side.
Better than Saints Row 2 but still not quite there!Mixters | May 16, 2012 | Review of Saints Row: The Third
I only played Saints Row 2 on PC for about 2hours maximum and the reason to that is because the SR2 pc-port was so bad and it lagged all the time. When SR3 got released I thought, well let's see if it's any better than the previous one.
And, yes it was! The PC-version performs better in any way than the SR2 PC version. So let's talk about the gameplay side. The missions are fun and creative, I love the little minigames too. A lot of customization, etc. That's what I've always liked about Saints Row if we're comparing it to the GTA series.
What I think is the bad thing about it, is that I think that the story is rather short and the sidemissions get boring after a while, but I guess it's so with every game, right? But you can always hook up with a friend and play co-op, and I think that adds a bit to the replayability of the game.
The graphics are not bad, but not great either, they are OK for last years standards, but the graphics aren't everything. But it's always a positive thing if there is some eyecandy too :).
You should really buy this game if you like actiongames filled with comedic references, and the ability to play co-op with your friends.
Great but hard game!Mixters | May 16, 2012 | Review of Super Meat Boy
When i bought Super Meat Boy my first thought was, "well this will be a nice game to play when you're bored and so on", but so wrong I was. The beginning was pretty easy, but when you progress it gets harder and harder until it's almost impossibly hard!
I'm almost sure I've died at least 20times per level, but I still want to keep going. It's addicting, you just wanna see what happens in the story and how the next level looks like.
I don't really know how many levels there really is but I haven't gotten bored of it yet. Every level is unique and different in it's own way so I doubt the maps are, what will get boring first.
Overall a good indiegame, and well worth the money, but very hard. So if you're easily frustrated, you should probably not get this game cause you'll be screaming at your computer.
Awesome gameMixters | May 14, 2012 | Review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution
The first time I played this game I thought it was great and I was right. I've never played the first deus ex game but thus was good. The graphics were amazing and so was the gameplay. The only bad thing I have to say about this game is that it stutters sometimes when entering new areas in the game world. Overall a pretty good game and great replayability
