A GEMMoNoTieace | Dec. 23, 2013 | Review of Far Cry 3
Far Cry series have always been known for it's huge open world mercenary gunning gameplay aspect. Far Cry 3 brings it on the next level. Amazing graphics that makes you want to stop at some point of game and just stare at the beauty of the huge open world the Dev have created. The story in the game is engaging. You play as Jason Brody, who has tag along with his friends on a mysterious island for holiday. But.. little do they know the danger lying ahead of them. The gameplay in the game is simply WOAH. The open world allows you to go around hunting animals (Even SHARKS!), crafting equipments, buying guns, activating radio towers, taking on side missions or simply just driving round the island exploring the map. The shooting mechanics in the game is good, smooth and responsive. The animation of the gun handling is smooth and the sound is simply solid.
A MUST BUY FOR OPEN WORLD LOVER
Best expansion in the seriesMoNoTieace | Dec. 23, 2013 | Review of Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World
CIV V is the best turn-based city building/nation strategy game I've ever played. G&K balanced the game, and adding in the important aspect of the evolution of human civilization. With BNW, it makes CIV V a package complete game covering every aspects of human civilization. This makes the game more entertaining and increases the realism and depths in the game. If anyone is going to get civilization V, you MUST BUY BNW as it's the latest expansion that changes the whole game mechanics in CIV V.
Medieval combat at its bestMoNoTieace | Dec. 23, 2013 | Review of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Chivalry:Medieval Warfare is one of the best First-Person Melee combat game I've ever played. The game mechanics is smooth and controls are responsive. Every hit you managed to land on the opponent actually feels like a hit... Unlike other games of the same genre whereby slashing the opponent feels like your cutting a piece of paper.
Big battles are a blast to play, the rushing adrenaline that spice up the excitement and intensity of the game. In the game, there's no clear distinction between higher level players and lower level players as most importantly the skill is what matters in the game. You can be using a higher level weapons but if you don't have the skill to use it, be prepared to be shred to pieces.
Amazing Hong Kong Police Sandbox GameMoNoTieace | Oct. 8, 2013 | Review of Sleeping Dogs: Limited Edition
I had my doubt for this major title back when it was announced, as True Crime:Hong Kong, by Activision. But Boy am I glad that the license for this game is pick up by Square-Enix, delivering us such an amazing Sandbox game similar to GTA but 10x the AWESOMENESS.
There isn't many games where you get to play as a undercover police officer tasked to infiltrate the triads. Throughout the game, you're constantly reminded that you are playing as a undercover cop whereby you lose points for being bad cop (turning helpless citizens in to human congee). So.... Although being a "GTA CLONE" you can't mess around killing people in the game.
The game focus a lot on its hand-to-hand Combat system which is spectacular, it's very similar to the batman arkham series, minus the free flow combat... plus a lot more realism. And it's really great. Since the focus is on hand-to-hand combat, the shooting mechanics in this game is... well... Meh~, nothing spectacular.
Driving is great in this game and controls are easy to grasp. THE VEHICLES AVAILABLE IS VROOOoooOM! SUPER FAST! This area of the game shines brightly during the car chase.
Overall Sleeping Dog is definitely on my top list for Sandbox Game.
Explosive Open-World SandBox GameMoNoTieace | Oct. 8, 2013 | Review of Just Cause 2
Just cause 2 can be considered one of the best Sandbox game ever! With a massively beautiful huge world, you will find yourself spending time exploring the world. Messing around with vehicles and blasting everything in your way or even hooking things up. The mission (except the stronghold missions which are repetitive) available throughout the game is exceptionally entertaining; Missions such as stopping a nightclub in the sky from blowing up and defending a large drug silo while the military sends waves of enemies after you. Overall, Just cause 2 provides many many hours of immersing gameplay that will keep you up into the wee hours of the morning blowing things up and messing around. Just Cause 2 is definitely worth getting at such low price
