Best Co-Op out thereMrFreehuggs | April 21, 2014 | Review of Borderlands
It's so rare to find a game with a quality multiplayer and campaign. Usually it seems like developers design a single player and force the multiplayer or the other way around. Gearbox has made one of the few with great Co-Op and campaign.
To be fair, the co-op and the campaign are the same game, but it feels natural either way you play it. I played about half of the game with friends and the other half without. Both ways were great fun. It's been a long time since I've played a great co-op game and I think Borderlands is one of the best if not the best.
The graphic design makes this game stand out. I love the cartoon/ comic book style and it's easy on the eyes. All of the characters in the game are hilarious. I've been caught off guard several times by what some of the enemies shout, in a good way.
My only major complaint about this game are the load screens. You receive several missions throughout the game that require you to travel from the area you are in to another area that requires a load screen. I found that the best way to handle this is to load up on as many missions as possible, then go to the area with the most missions and take care of them all at once. Do this without traveling back to collect rewards in between missions and you'll save yourself a lot of time.
If you are going to get this game, make sure to get the GOTY edition. The DLC adds a lot of great content to this game.
Great gameMrFreehuggs | April 21, 2014 | Review of Tomb Raider
I don't play through a lot of single player games. I usually get bored about midway through. This is the first Tomb Raider game that I've played since Tomb Raider 2. I wasn't expecting much from this game, I thought it would just be a time waster. This ending up being one of very few that I've completed 100%, I did everything possible.
The storyline is great, acting was good and graphics are good. My only complaint about this game is the multiplayer. The multiplayer is a waste of space and just seemed forced. If you're looking for a multiplayer game, this isn't it. The single player campaign is well worth it on its own, though.
I would highly recommend this game to anyone.
