This game I would recommend to those out there that have a heart. It's hard to talk about this game without spoiling anything. The gameplay is really mediocre I must admit. It isn't bad, but there just doesn't seem to be anything that really stands out as, "that's kinda cool." Some of the choices of music hit me hard. It's quite jarring to hear anti-war music in a war game. It really drives it point home. The story is what kept me moving. I don't want to talk about it much for those who haven't played the game yet, but I will say I like how the game unfolds. This is the only military/war game I've played where I felt human. Not once did I feel like a super soldier just going in and saving the day. This made me very happy as a gamer.

This is a fantastic Shmup with gorgeous visuals. The main thing that stands out about this game though is being a shmup it has well crafted story. Fans of the genre know the games aren't about story so I was pleasantly surprised. I'd recommend it to any fan of the genre.
This feels familiarMyzery | Jan. 7, 2014 | Review of Magrunner: Dark Pulse
It's a really good puzzler IMO. I like what Portal has spawned. It's hard to talk about without drawing a comparison to Portal. It's not nearly as charming as Portal. The only thing that really irked me about the game was that you were unable to jump if you were carrying a block. Sounds small, but damn it'll anger you. All in all well worth the $ I spent on it.
Undeserved hateMyzery | Jan. 7, 2014 | Review of DmC: Devil May Cry
It's a solid game. The level design is great, and the overall aesthetic is well done. If you're a mega fan of the past DMC games, then yes this will be a let down to you. Though that let down should be in the games name only. It's a top notch action game love it or hate it. I will say that the Bosses are WEAKSAUCE though. Never have bosses just disappointed me like that.
Platformer of the year 2013Myzery | Jan. 7, 2014 | Review of Rayman Legends (NA)
Sound: The soundscapes of this game are amazing. Truly without them the game would seem almost hollow. Between the music levels, like the couple I did manage to upload of me playing, and standard sound effects it all fits perfectly.
Graphics: UbiART Framework FTW!! Seriously I adore this engine. The graphics are colorful, lively, and well animated. There is nothing I could really say... the screenshots cover it all so well.
Gameplay: Level design is king here. The difficulty curve is well done in this game. The levels aren't hard, but don't hold your hand either. This is a game to enjoy, and have fun in. The worst part of the gameplay is Murphy. Murphy is a companion helper in various levels. When you come across Murphy you'll really begin to notice this game was designed specifically with only the Wii U in mind. He seems slightly out place using him with a standard controller. Its very easy to use him, but you know that feeling when something is just off?
Final Verdict: Rayman Legends is a truly great platformer, and I pray I get to see more games in the series.
A game with impactMyzery | Jan. 7, 2014 | Review of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Come with me on a short journey. Brothers opens up with you having to take your father to a medicine man. Upon seeing your father the medicine man hands you a map to fetch the only thing that can cure your ailing father. The adventure begins quickly after that. While not having a high budget Brothers pulls off its visuals rather well. Each scene like a beautifully painted vista. I found myself taking many a screenshot only to realize more were potential spoilers than not so I chose not to post them here :). The music in the game just works. Every piece fitting its scene.
The controls are the first thing that makes Brothers stand out. This game requires a controller which is kind of a bummer, but I could see why. Take your controller and divide it in half. Each half shall control one brother. At the beginning this is very confusing. Then after some time you get used to the idea. It helps make a connection to the characters in an odd way. Something I didn't think would happen. When I got to thinking about it I found it to be funny. Dividing the controls up like that created the real feeling of disjointedness whilst a connection remained. It reminded of being an actual sibling.
If I talk story you wouldn't be happy with me. Experience it for yourself :)
Verdict: GO PLAY BROTHERS!!!!!!!!! I hope you got to pick it up on sale as it is a very very short game, but damn GO PLAY IT!
