Uncharted for PCPCpower | Sept. 13, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider
I wished that there was a game like Uncharted for PC, and that is why I was excited about the Tomb Raider reboot. I was not disappointed, but I would have preferred if the game did not have such a dark story, and I would have like if there were no gruesome deaths.
I actually would say I preferred Tomb Raider: Legend to this game, but it is almost like comparing apples to oranges. This game is a lot more like Uncharted than older Tomb Raiders, but it is also very different from Uncharted. The story is very interesting, the graphics are good, and the game-play is well polished.
My biggest disappointment with the game is likely the lack of puzzles, there are some in the game, but not as many as I would have liked. The puzzles are mostly optional and hidden in caves so make sure to find them all if you like puzzles. If you like Uncharted or think you might, I recommend this game.
Fun, but Bad Lip-syncPCpower | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Just Cause 2
The games is fun, in the same genre as GTA. I did not notice too many glitches in the game-play, but the cut scenes have some problems with the sound effects cutting out. Even more annoying is the fact that all of the cut scenes have broken lip-sync, it is just off enough to be annoying. It can also take some time to get used to the feel of the controls.
That being said, the game does have a lot of good game-play ideas, especially the grappling hook which is almost as cool as playing as Spider-man. The game has a large open-world, and good graphics.
The game has a lot of good concepts, I just wish it was a little more polished. The game has a good demo, so I would highly recommend giving that a try, and then you can see if you have the same problems I did.
