BeautifulPfantzyPantz | Sept. 6, 2013 | Review of The Walking Dead
A perfect use of the source material, and one of the few zombie games that I really enjoyed. The story is top tier, great characters, great setting, great music, great style. It's got it all. It'll make you laugh, cry, and everything in between, really is a must buy.
A perfect game for fans of fast paced fightersPfantzyPantz | Aug. 24, 2013 | Review of Skullgirls
A warning to all new players, you will get frustrated and salty when you first play online, as you will get caught in long combos and mix ups, but don't give up! It's an insanely fun game with every character being completely different in playstyle, super fast paced and flashy as all heck.
The style and music add tons of charm, and the animation quality is superb. It's beautiful to look at, and to play. It's a great place to start if you're completely new to the genre, as the tutorial is the best of the best, teaching you mechanics that will help you in every fighting game.
The story mode is interesting, but very short as each character has a story to go through. They're full of great art, just wish they were voice acted... All in all, just buy it.
An epic journey of awesomePfantzyPantz | Aug. 24, 2013 | Review of Darksiders
The word epic may be overused nowadays, but Darksiders is definitely the exception, as it is epic beyond bounds. The voice acting, the music, the art direction, and the gameplay all pull together to make an amazing experience that you shan't forget anytime soon. The boss fights are huge, daunting, and plentiful. The dungeons are fun to go through and explore and the story keeps you enticed.
There's a big problem though, and caution to all. Darksiders is one glitchy son of a gun. There are many minor glitches that won't really bother you, but there is an almost game breaking glitch that happens at end game (infuriating when you think you can't fix it). The mask glitch, you'll know it if you're unlucky enough to see it, just google it and you'll find the fix. Other than that, it's a must buy for fans of action and mythos.
Great stuffPfantzyPantz | Aug. 24, 2013 | Review of Devil May Cry 4
It's an absolute joy to play, fast paced and crazy, fits quite well into the series. Both Nero and Dante play beautifully and completely differently, Dante fans will love the on-the-fly switching of styles for him. It's a lengthy game, though the big issue arises with that. The 2nd half of the game is basically a complete backtracking of what you just did, just with Dante. Still fun, but less interesting. The music is fantastic and the art direction is delicious.
Very well optimized and looks amazing, highly recommend.
A beautiful remasterPfantzyPantz | Aug. 17, 2013 | Review of DuckTales: Remastered
This is a remaster done right. They don't mess with the original core mechanics nor make it easier, they truly respect the original game, and the source material. They remastered the music, absolutely fantastic job, and even let you use the original 8-bit soundtrack after you've beaten the game once. The new aesthetic is stunning, just beautiful to see in motion and the voice acting adds so much.
After the recent patch, the only complaint I have is that you have to pause and then hit skip in order to skip cutscenes, which becomes annoying after multiple attempts.
