RPG elements + FPS = great gameRomy68 | Aug. 12, 2014 | Review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
This is by far one of my favorite games released in the last years. Deus Ex : Human Revolution provides a great play time thanks to its almost unique, individual mechanics, which allow you to hack different kinds of places and objects. That being added some cool RPG elements such as a skill tree and various options to upgrade the main character, this title definitely has its place in the market and deserves as well the words of praise.
Epic sequelRomy68 | Aug. 12, 2014 | Review of Half Life 2: Episode 2
Definitely better than Episode 1, it provides an amazing gaming experience, rarely to be found in any FPS out there. Sound, story, even graphics for the mid 2000s', everything fits perfectly one with each other. Simply a masterpiece, a must have if for some reason you didn't buy by now.
Good designed weaponsRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Sniper Elite III - Camouflage Weapons Pack
The "Camouflage Weapons" pack provides a total of three weapons designed in a such way to help the player blend better with the environment (obviously, the best usage for them is in the multiplayer side of the game). The MP44 submachine gun is by far the best in my opinion, simply due its relatively low recoil, which gives you with great accuracy even at longer ranges ; the sniper is also fun to use if you are that type of player, but other rifles might perform better that it.
An impressive title for young gamersRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove
As well as other titles from the series, Freddi Fish 5 doesn't cease to amaze the young players (and not only them) with its elements. It features a variety of game play (for example puzzles or item finding), easy to understand objectives, good voice acting and music. This game, along with the others, is all you could possibly want if you are looking for a relaxing, friendly experience. Even though there's more than a decade since its release, don't be deceived by that, because Freddi Fish 5 is a game which aged well.
Well designed model packRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Crusader Kings II: Saxon Unit Pack
The "Saxon Pack" is in my honest opinion a good addition to the game (to be more precise, for the Saxon unit). The models have a nice design and look really well during the time you play the game. It's really affordable so, why not ?
Old but funny gameRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell
It's one of the titles that you probably loved a lot back in the day when you were a child. Freddi Fish 3 is a relatively simple adventure indie game, but it is build around a concept quite entertaining and player-friendly. The game looks great even though there have passed a lot of years since it was released and has a good soundtrack and voice acting as well. Grab it, a title which should not miss from person's collection who loves old titles.
Amazing gameRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Assassin's Creed III: Deluxe Edition
Assassin's Creed III is the direct sequel of the "Revelations" and continues the story of Desmond Miles from where the last game ended. The plot is pretty solid, introducing a new assassin ancestor. The game play has a lot of variety, providing quite a lot of content, starting with story mission and ending with free roaming or animal hunting. Graphically, it looks good, though there were some optimization issues which probably are not fixed even now, so even if you have a high-end PC, expect huge frame drops in locations like Boston. Its soundtrack is impressive, a thing that Ubisoft did well in other titles of the franchise as well. Overall, great game, with the only minus of problems of the graphics side.
Good skin pack if on saleRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Sniper Elite III - Allied Reinforcements Outfit Pack
The "Allied Reinforcements Outfit" packages is a quite a good-looking skin content and adds a more options for the times you play on the multiplayer side of the game. All three character models have unique traits and the level of details of their clothing or accessories is impressive. I would suggest getting this pack on a sale, due its relatively high price.
Fun weapon packRomy68 | Aug. 10, 2014 | Review of Sniper Elite III - Hunter Weapons Pack
Pretty funny and entertaining to use weapon pack ! My favorite one is the revolve, M1917, which can be useful in any game type-scenario (single-player, multi-player, co-op). The rifle is also decent and looks beautiful with the wood design built in it.
Simple and addictive game.Romy68 | Aug. 2, 2014 | Review of Pressured
The concept behind "Pressured" is very simple, which allows for the game to be easily understood by pretty much any game-lover. It's testing your math skills by making you pick numbers from boxes in order to make a complete sum. Nothing too complicated, eh ? Well..things start to get harder because it has a countdown, so you gotta make your moves fast. The fail would be inevitable at times, as well as succeeding by relying only on your intuition.
Cool new additonRomy68 | Aug. 2, 2014 | Review of Tropico 5: The Big Cheese
"The Big Cheese" DLC is a nice downloadable content for Tropico 5. The most impressive thing about this (and game-changing) it's obviously the sandbox map, which has some beautiful esthetics. Of course, you can change it while in sandbox, but its raw form is pretty cool. Other elements contained by the pack don't really affect the game play, even though they fit somewhere, eventually. I'd suggest getting this pack on a sale, though.
Enjoyable horror-adventure indie.Romy68 | Aug. 2, 2014 | Review of Whispering Willows
Whispering Willows is a cool new indie with a horror-sided part. You take control on both the character - Elena - and her shadow form in your journey to find your beloved father. One cool thing about it is that each other room is out of light, just liked you would see in the AAA horror like Outlast, in order to create a feeling of uncertainty and scare. The graphics are impressive and everything is drawn in a good manner, while the music fits with the title. The puzzles are ok and some are quite a challenge, thanks to the power to switch between you and your phantom form.
Great open world zombie shooterRomy68 | Aug. 2, 2014 | Review of Dead Island Riptide: Complete Edition
Dead Island impressed me when it was released, and thus I played dozens of hours in it. Its sequel, Riptide, is a good addition in the franchise. Although many people may say it's not really that different from the original, it is still an enjoyable experience. Comes with a vast map to play and explore, gorgeous landscape, a pretty large number of missions and tasks and..lots of zombies. You can also bring up your friends to do stuff in co-op, in case you are that type of player. Anyway, strong title, worth buying.
Decent puzzle / adventure gameRomy68 | Aug. 2, 2014 | Review of Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis
Secret Files 2 : Puritas Cordis is a decent puzzle, point and click-type of game and in some aspects, a bit better than the original (such as voice acting and 2-characters ways to solve the challenges). The graphics are also updated compared to "Tunguska", but might not be anything specials for those who like modern games more. Some puzzles may lack originality and be repetitive at times in my honest opinion, though.
One of the best modern first person shootersRomy68 | Aug. 2, 2014 | Review of Metro: Last Light Complete Edition
Continuing the story from where the original game, 2033, left, Metro Last Light provides a great gaming experience. Impressive graphical elements, good game mechanics, and possibility for the player to play either in "chaos" or "stealth" mode are just a few of the features this game has to provide. With the addition of the DLCs, you can unlock new weapons, some side missions or a stronger difficulty game mode. Overall, great pack, which I highly recommend.
