Inspiring take on the MOBA genre

SLE | Nov. 30, 2012 | Review of Awesomenauts - PC

I just love what they've done with the genre here. It still has the base of popular games like LoL and Dota, but the action platformer mechanics allow so much more ease of access. The characters are so inspired, all with their own personalities, themesongs, playstyles, etc. I'd recommend this to anyone just looking for a fun game. Especially if you can gather a party to bring with you.

Pretty solid game

The tower defense system is nice, and the FPS part is pretty cool by itself. Highly recommended if you're a fan of both genres. The levels get pretty intense. But even if you don't like tower defense, you could easily just use the blocks as blockades, just plain upgrade your guns and shoot everyone yourself. Sniper rifle is fun as heck. And that demented laugh you'll hear after shooting down a few targets one after another gets incredibly satisfying to hear. The difficulty curve from easy to normal is pretty big, but just makes the game much more enjoyable.

Great fun with friends

I could barely find any faults with this game. I bought it with 3 of my friends during a sale and we just ran around with the awesome campaign mode. The way you mix spells was interesting and led to some really fascinating effects (LIGHTNING ICE ARMOR MADE OF ROCKS was a personal favorite)
