Amazing Open World Post-Apocalyptic FunSandromin | Nov. 23, 2013 | Review of Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
Not only is Fallout 3 an amazing game, but the DLC create an experience completely unique to the Fallout series. Everything from the weapons to the locations add to the sense of a post-nuclear 1950s setting and the DLC only add more. I found myself blown away by the game's atmosphere and the modding community is spectacular. Although some glitches could dampen the experience, they do not make the game any less great. Everything about the game builds into an epic story, start to finish. Truly a masterpiece from the workers at Bethesda, Fallout 3: GOTY is an essential game to people who want a greater open-world experience.
Good, Fun, StrategicSandromin | Nov. 22, 2013 | Review of Sid Meier’s Civilization® V
A great game overall, Civilization V brings the quality up from its predecessors. Introducing better graphics and a more understandable grid system for both movement and combat. Although several features from the previous game were removed, many more were added in compensation, and the overall gameplay improved.
Despite lagging behind in the later parts of a typical match, the early-game is well-built and balanced. Some features, however, were added in later DLCs, such as religion and caravans; if I considered the expansions, I would rate the game a 94/100. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Civilization V and rate it as one of the better strategy games within the past five years and I have nothing but respect for Sid Meier and 2K games.
If you consider getting this game, consider getting the expansions as well, for they do nothing but contribute to the already good gameplay.
