GRID 2StevieOnline | June 7, 2013 | Review of GRID 2
If you’re looking for a fun arcade racer then GRID 2 is a worthy purchase. It can sit proud alongside the likes of DiRT Showdown and Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Unfortunately for sim racing fans expecting a Forza or Gran Turismo contender you’re not going to find it here. As a fan of the original it’s a real disappointment but from an arcade racing standpoint it can be fun and has great visuals but the over reliance on drifting corners constantly, makes long sessions grind and becoming boring.
Battlefield 3StevieOnline | May 27, 2013 | Review of Battlefield 3
Battlefield 3 is a truly awesome game. Great graphics and impressive battles with player controlled air support from planes and helicopters covering the ground unit soldiers, tanks and vehicles. Although Battlefield 3 could do with a few more maps at launch it's still easily one of the best and most challenging shooters available.
Shogun 2StevieOnline | May 27, 2013 | Review of Total War: Shogun 2
Shogun 2 is one of the very best strategy games to date. There's not many games set in the medieval Japan era so it's a breathe of fresh air. The game is epic and really is a joy to play. The graphics are of a really high standard and downloadable content has been very forthcoming with new units, missions and clans. Multiplayer is exceptional. If your looking for a great tactical strategy game then you wont find one better than this. There's elements of turn based strategy with real time action battles.
Saints Row 3StevieOnline | May 27, 2013 | Review of Saints Row: The Third
The gameplay is easy to enjoy. Missions are varied and at times somewhat challenging. Graphics are very sharp and with the over the top use of vibrant colours it looks amazing and has a lot of charm. Saints Row may not be the most realistic game but it certainly is one of the most fun. Grand Theft Auto may be similar but they both compliment each other really well. Having both in every gamers collection of the required age would be highly recommended
SkyrimStevieOnline | May 24, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Hands down best game of the year! and possibly even the past decade. The whole landscape is intriguing. The graphics are amazing. To explain the game simply, would be to say that it’s like being in a lord of the rings film, except you have the freedom to go anywhere you want when you want. So many missions to complete and new abilities to acquire The game feels endless and inspiring. Miss this game and you may just have missed the game of the decade. Yes it’s that good!
DiRT ShowdownStevieOnline | May 24, 2013 | Review of DiRT Showdown
DiRT Showdown is arcade racing at it's best. Codemasters have made a great start on a new spin-off franchise. Hopefully this game is the first in a whole line of follow on's. All racing fans should find something they enjoy in this game whether it's destruction mayhem or competitive racing sessions. Play the single player world tour or go online and compete against friends or strangers. Either way there's a great deal of fun to be had that extends way beyond the single player career. It's a game that will constantly have you coming back for more for a very long time.
Sleeping DogsStevieOnline | May 24, 2013 | Review of Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping Dogs really is a must own game. It looks amazing, especially at night with the rain. The fighting is competitive but not complicated. Missions are fun and the city is a joy to immerse yourself into. There's plenty of hidden items to locate and missions to replay. Once you start playing Sleeping Dogs you might just find it difficult to stop.
