An overall good gameStezizi | Aug. 26, 2013 | Review of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a game far from perfect. Technical issues and a gameplay in the long run a bit repetitive prevent the production to excell in the category of action/adventure games. However, any lover of the genre of action-RPG, as well as fans of Tolkien's saga, will find more than a good reason to take up sword and bow and leave for the northern lands.
An awesome packStezizi | July 24, 2013 | Review of Gothic Complete Collection
This great pack contains 4 standalone games + 1 expansion pack (Night of the Raven). Gothic and Gothic 2 (along with its expansion), are two masterpieces that still are very enjoyable to play and with an unique and immersive atmosphere, a lots of charismatic characters and a vivid world to explore. Gothic 3 is a great game that with the last community patch becomes very solid and with a beautiful graphics. The only flaw of this pack is Forsaken Gods, not a true Gothic and not a true game, due to its bugs. This pack, at this price, is an awesome deal. Recommended to every gamer!
Good Idea, Average GameStezizi | July 24, 2013 | Review of Alter Ego
With Alter Ego, the developers wasted a good opportunity. There were all the basis for a solid and pleasant adventure, but unfortunately they failed to tell a story that is slow and fragmented. Even the simple gameplay, probably by choice, and not particularly inspired, ends up affected by that. A title that might be worth only if you are in withdrawal from a certain type of atmospheres.
A disapointmentStezizi | July 11, 2013 | Review of Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods - Enhanced Edition
Even with the Patch and enhanced contents, this game is not worthy to be part of Gothic series. Still incomplete, boring and full of bugs that makes the game really hard to play smoothly.
My advice is to buy it only in case of a great discount, or packed with the other (awesome) games of the saga!
Decent adventure gameStezizi | June 14, 2013 | Review of The Rockin' Dead
The Rockin' Dead surely is not a masterpiece, not even a great game, but still with a lot defects (and weird puzzles), is a decent product with a nice old athmosphere for lovers of adventure! Buy it only if you like the genre
Not awesome as Deus Ex, but a great game nevertheless!Stezizi | June 14, 2013 | Review of Deus Ex: Invisible War
Invisible War is not a masterpiece like its predecessor, but it is a worthy successor, proving to be a fun and exciting, but at the same time deep, nice and above all very varied. This game provides nice locations, fun missions, and some challengeing puzzles. Recommended to lovers of scifi and stealth-rpg.
Awesome and cruel story about warStezizi | Feb. 15, 2013 | Review of Spec Ops: The Line dns
This game is far more better than the Call of Duty series. Is a real gem, that tell us the drama and cruelty of a war. The moral choises within the game have a strong impact, the immersivity is at the highest level. And in my personal opinion even the combat system is fun and challenging at the highest level of difficulty. Trust me, this game deserve at least a try. Here on GMG you can easy find it during sale at 3-4 £.
This Game is Great!Stezizi | Jan. 25, 2013 | Review of Binary Domain
Don't trust Metacritics, this game is a little masterpiece with a solid and immersive story, fun gameplay and great characters! The gameplay reminds me a little bit Mass Effect 2, and it's full of action with a lot of Boss Fights, everyone different from the others. The only real problem is the porting, not the best I've ever seen, but still not so bad to don't try this game. Really, you must buy this, it's worth every £ of its price.
Some good things, some not so good...Stezizi | Jan. 2, 2013 | Review of Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a good title, and for fans of the brand a product surely not to be missed. But the weight of a narrative structure that is repeated almost equal to itself it's big, not least in the condensed period of 4 hours, too short to not get out of breath at the end of the adventure. The greater emphasis being given to the shootings is not a defect, and indeed makes me enjoy a slightly different kind of Alan Wake, a little more hectic, but always punctuated by the incessant use of the torch. The production quality is always at the highest levels but Remedy should know that we are not yet satisfied. Recommended to the fans of the first Alan Wake.
One of the funniest game I ever played!Stezizi | Oct. 1, 2012 | Review of Saints Row: The Third
Put together GTA and Just Cause, mix them adding a lot of hilarity, and you got Saint Row the third, the perfect free roaming game to have fun without worries and destroy almost everything in a absurd and funny city . This game is absolutely amazing and addicting , higly reccomended to everyone, even if you don't like the genre. Give it a try, you will not regret it!
As Assault, a bit too repetitive...Stezizi | Sept. 24, 2012 | Review of Alien Breed 3: Descent
Alien Breed 3 is recommended for those who have already had the opportunity to appreciate the previous chapter, but keep in mind that you will not find anything new in terms of gameplay. A wasted opportunity then? Yes, AB 3: Descent could be a game that concluded the trilogy in an explosive manner but instead proves to be very subdued and not very innovative ... a real shame for fans of a genre that is being lost (the one with the isometric view) in the time of three-dimensional graphics. Recommended only to fans of the series.
A bit repetitive, but..Stezizi | Sept. 24, 2012 | Review of Alien Breed 2: Assault
Alien Breed 2: Assault is all too similar to its predecessor, with a very old school structure that can be more tedious and repetitive than immersive. A title only recommended to fans of the original and those who are in withdrawal from products of this kind. Like the predecessor the game is very cheap, but no one should neglect the alternative offered by Alien Swarm, which has the advantage of being free. Appreciated the presence of the Survivor mode, especially because it can be dealt with in the company of a friend (even online), as well as the full-bodied revamp that involved the graphics.
Good but not impressiveStezizi | Sept. 24, 2012 | Review of Alien Breed: Impact
Alien Breed: Impact is a remake of a remake, but still manages to be a video game with a good personality. The gameplay is simple but fast-paced and if you like old-style shooter with a ton of weapons and enemies you will not be disappointed. The main campaign is somewhat repetitive and has little flashes of originality, but given the limited duration of the game (one of the major flaws) you'll enjoy anyway, especially in the company of a friend. The game is very cheap and no doubt it's worth it all. Recommended if you like shooters!
Intense and ImmersiveStezizi | Sept. 22, 2012 | Review of Alan Wake: Collector's Edition
After a long wait, the masterpiece of Remedy arrives on our computers. This game is a sort of tribute to the world of publishing, film, television and even music, suggesting ideas for readings, listenings and visions.
Alan Wake proves that videogames are a mature form of entertainement and can create titles that combine beautiful plots with treated game mechanics, although unfortunately no major innovations. In fact the game suffers slightly the long process of development, but it remains an experience that cannot be missed for any true fan of videogames, imho.
The terrifying atmosphere and the beautiful musics and landscapes will remain in my memory for a long time.
