Hours of fun for a low price

Sukarn | June 15, 2012 | Review of Just Cause 2 - PC

A lot of people I know haven't tried Just Cause 2 because they had a bad experience with Just Cause 1, but Just Cause 2 should not be compared to it's predecessor at all. Where JC 1 fell short, JC 2 delivers wonderfully. Beautiful and varied landscapes including forest area, beaches, off-shore drilling rigs, snow-covered mountains, a desert, a city spread across islands connected by bridges, and many many villages... a map that is so huge that I haven't seen all the villages in it even after spending 38 hours in the game (according to Steam). This game is wacky right off the bat. I didn't think that I would like the game so much because I considered myself a serious gamer who enjoys the likes of a more mature story-based game like GTA IV, but boy, did this game change my view about gaming! This game is all about having fun. One of your main objectives throughout the game is to blow as much stuff up as you can. You unlock missions by blowing things up. The game can start to feel repititive after a while, but I got my money's worth way before that happened.
