A good shot at pleasing everyone

TBTheBritish | Oct. 5, 2013 | Review of Tom Clancys Splinter Cell Blacklist

Blacklist tries really hard to please the fans of classic Splinter Cell and the fans of the ConViction era. It comes close to pleasing all of them, but probably falls a little shy of keeping everyone happy. That's not to say it's not good. It's great and I played it happily to completion, then played it again to try in Panther and Assault mode and all three modes are fun in their own way. Quick note: This game is big. Really big. I've played it a ton and I'll probably still be playing it again this time next year, just trying to get through all the missions out there and the multiplayer which is... potentially great... but can't say it feels there just yet.

A fun way to experience the LotR story...

TBTheBritish | July 6, 2013 | Review of LEGO Lord of the Rings

At its best, this game is a must by for fans of the LotR film series (the game is based on the films) and fans of TT's Lego games. If you have only a passing interest in each however, you may not find this game entirely to your liking. In many ways, it drifts from the style of previous Lego games in that you don't have the opportunity to go back into previous areas with different characters and explore for secrets. Instead, this game uses an inventory system that doesn't quite seem polished yet.If you're a fan of the LotR series, you may enjoy the cutscenes but find the gameplay repetitive (as it often seems). This is why I recommend it only to fans of both

It is also important to note that this game only supports local multiplayer on the PC. No online multiplayer is available. This feature alone gives the game a huge hit to its score.

Fallout at its best

TBTheBritish | June 3, 2013 | Review of Fallout: New Vegas DNS

I'm going to flat out say it now: if you like Fallout 3, you should already own this game. This is almost an improvement in every way (barring a myriad of bugs). Some classic Fallout humour mixed with all the usual drama and choices, multiple factions to chose from, a brand new disguise mechanic, hundreds of new weapons, new styles and characters and a brand new story starring The Courier. Highly recommended.
