Most moving game ever!

TheGamePimp | May 25, 2013 | Review of To The Moon Cap

Everything about this game is perfect. From the music to the art and everything in between (even the references!) The story, which I won't spoil, is subtle and will make you want to stay to find out why Johnny want to go to the moon. The graphics are cute, and I don't think they would have worked any other way. Now, the soundtrack, this is what will make you burst to tears every single time you listen to any of the songs. Teddy is 42 second of pure epicness, and all the other songs are wonderful and very moving (they're in my iPhone already.) While the game might be short, it is worth every penny. It will stay with you hours after the credits have rolled, which you won't be able to see from how much you'll be crying.

Ugly and FUN!!

TheGamePimp | May 14, 2013 | Review of The Binding of Isaac

Yes, the monsters look ugly (in a good way!). Yes, some power-ups are weird. Yes, YOU NEED TO BUY IT NOW. If you are the kind of gamer that says "that's it, I'm going to teach the game who's boss!" you will enjoy this game. A lot. For hours and hours on end. The soundtrack is without a doubt great (I personally bought it and put it on my iPhone) and the gameplay is just perfect. This is not an easy game, don't let the cute/disgusting creatures fool you. I have over 10 hour in-game and still have not reached the final boss. You will have times when you want to throw the keyboard across the room and curse at Edmund McMillen, but you will always come back saying "just one more time....just five minutes...." to find and hour or more fly right by you. If you are playing on Windows or Mac, you have no excuse to not buy it!

Bloody, Grusesome, and Fun!

TheGamePimp | May 12, 2013 | Review of They Bleed Pixels + Soundtrack

Lets start of by saying one thing, the soundtrack for this game is great! Now, the game itself is not too easy, and gets increasingly more difficult. For those old-school gamers that like the challenge, this is an instant recommendation. And with 120+ Steam achievements, this will definitely keep you hooked for hours. Not only that, it has a few extra in-game unlockables such as more levels and artwork, which are always a nice little addition.

Game of the Year

TheGamePimp | May 12, 2013 | Review of Bioshock Infinite

Remember what happened when this game launched? GMG had to manually send everyone their keys 'cause of how many people pre-ordered it. That many people can't be wrong! The soundtrack for this game is wonderful, including the score (which is usually not that good for most games). The combat is intense and fast-paced, and yes, using the sky-rails is so much fun! The game took me about 40 hour to complete, enjoying the beautiful graphics in this flying city that thrives with vitality and looking for all the voxophones to help better understand the immersive story Irrational tells. The story is full of plot twists and engaging characters, and it doesn't ever disappoint. Since this game has nothing to do with the previous, anyone can easily jump in and enjoy the ride, although older fans of the series will get a little reference (wink, wink). The only downside to this game are the checkpoints. In both previous games you could save at any point; in this one you can not. Which is a downer (hence why it did not get 100), but a minor thing that can get slightly annoying. All in all, this game is worth the hype it earned.

THE game everyone should own

TheGamePimp | May 3, 2013 | Review of BioShock

BioShock is a fantastic game that is worth every cent. The atmosphere is perfect, the music (composed by Garry Schyman) fits beautifully, and the gameplay encourages creativity. There is only one downside to this masterpiece: the mouse was simply not meant for this game. Even at the lowest setting it feels weird. And I've had my experience with FPS games. Of course, you can play with a controller. Or resort to messing around with the game's files. Regardless of this little flaw, no one should miss out on BioShock. Rapture is a beautiful world that everyone should visit. You will be enraptured.
