Good shooter with RPG elementsXeled | Dec. 25, 2013 | Review of Borderlands 2
I bought this game with a friend of mine and when we started playing, Borderlands 2 seemed like one of the best games ever. It's just an incredibly funny game with tons of weapons. The fighting is fun, and the RPG elements fit in nicely.
But you shouldnt expect too much - it's still just a shooter.
Don't get me wrong, I would never say it's a bad game, but after your first playthrough there seem to be so many reasons to start over again - but for me the second playthrough wasn't even half as good as the first one.
This game was made for multiple playthroughs, but if you're someone who's playing for the story you may not find this game as good as some critics say.
Still, if you like shooters, find some friends and play this game, even if you don't plan on replaying the story over and over again (don't look at me, there are a lot of people doing just this) you will have a good time with this game.
Possibly the best RPG I ever playedXeled | Dec. 25, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Nexway
When this game came out, I was so eager to play it, I only heard good things about it and it looked really interesting. Unfortunately, my PC was already old, and not good enough to run Skyrim properly. It was a pity, but there wasn't much I could do.
Only a few months ago, I finally bought some good parts for my old machine and reinstalled the game immediately. Although there were tons of reviews and critics out already I still couldn't believe what I missed all the time.
I played Skyrim for hours each day, couldn't get enough of it - and it kept getting better.
Before playing Skyrim I was a huge Oblivion fan, but this newer Elder Scrolls release has everything Oblivion had - but in an upgraded version. Although you would think the games would be quite similar, everyone of them has its own awesome feeling, I would recommend anyone to buy Skyrim (and Oblivion as well, if you like) and play it for a while. You will see what i mean.
All in all, you could say this title is most likely the best RPG of our time - something you really shouldn't miss.
Some of the best strategy games of all timeXeled | Dec. 24, 2013 | Review of The Stronghold Collection [Playfire]
I bought Stronghold: Crusader when I was maybe 12 years old. Loved it since then. In my opinion SH and SH:C are stll better than most of the new strategy games that are released every year. Stronghold 2 was a great game as well, although it's a lot harder to get your economy going, but you'll know how to do it once you play for a while. Stronghold Legends wasn't quite as good as the others, but it's still worth checking out. I can only recommend this bundle, especially if it's on sale, like right now.
