Just a short bit from excellent

Xkhaoz | Nov. 30, 2012 | Review of Homefront

I played through Homefront in an afternoon. That should probably be taken as a bad sign. But that afternoon was full of fun, involving gameplay with a great story written by the writer of Red Dawn. The various set=pieces in Homefront can truly be shocking. Mass graves, public executions, and so on really show the horrors of war. Throughout Homefront you visit several locales, and even once you pilot an helicopter. I haven't tried out much of the multiplayer, but form what I've seen its similar to Battlefield where-in you capture points and such. Still, its length is the main problem with the game. Still, if you're looking for a decent afternoon of FPSing, Homefront is a great choice.

Unique Indie Platformer

Xkhaoz | Nov. 4, 2012 | Review of VVVVVV

VVVVVV is a great game. If you need more details, then lets move on. VVVVVV is a tough as nails platformer in the vein of SMB: The Lost Levels or Super Meat Boy. Instead of jumping, you instead flip your center of gravity, so you would go from the floor to the ceiling with a press of a button. Using this mechanic, you'll dodge spikes, pits, and all sorts of other dangers. Remember when I said it was hard? Well it is, very. But its entirely possible, due to the abundance of checkpoints. Also jam packed into this game is plenty of humor. For $2, you mustn't overlook this game.

Yo Ho Ho

Xkhaoz | Nov. 4, 2012 | Review of Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett & her Pirate's Booty

When I bought the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, I was slightly worried that we would get lackluster DLCs like some other games do. But luckily, Captain Scarlett is a good sign for BL2 DLCs. A good length campaign, plenty of sidequests, new invincible bosses, and even more guns to add to the bazillions, you've got your self a DLC worth the sandy socks. My only complaint is the end boss, which was pretty lackluster compared to other bosses in the game.

Toot Toot Sonic Warrior

Xkhaoz | Nov. 4, 2012 | Review of Sonic CD

Considered by many to be the best 2D entry in the Sonic series, I'd be hard pressed to disagree. Amazing level design, a unique time travel mechanic, and a kickin soundtrack leads up to a great platformer. Also, note that this is a great rerelease. Steamworks DRM, achievements, options for both NA and EU soundtracks, extra modes, its a steal at $5

Borderlands 2: wub so worth it

Xkhaoz | Nov. 4, 2012 | Review of Borderlands 2 (NA) DNS

I don't buy many games at full price. But Borderlands 2 was one of the first in awhile to break that streak. And was it worth it. They improved every single aspect of BL1, and then some. Better story, better gameplay, its all there. Take my advice. If you loved BL1, get BL2. even if you didn't, get BL2. Its amazing.

A Modern Unreal Tournament

Xkhaoz | June 21, 2012 | Review of Nexuiz

I love arena shooters, so when I heard that Nexuiz was being made, I was excited. I finally got it during a sale, and its great. IT feels a lot like Unreal Tournament, if Epic still cared about UT and made a new one. The graphics are nice, but turn off the motion blur, its just distracting. The mutators are fun, the weapons are great, and the overall feel is just great. If you liked UT, grab this one.
