Alan Wake

Xyberly | July 9, 2012 | Review of Alan Wake - PC

I first played this game on Xbox 360 and I loved it. I just couldn't stop myself from buying it one more time just to play it the way it was meant to be played. Remedy really did a great job with the port of this game, it's one of the best looking lighting I've seen in a game to date and it runs pretty good. The game is about Alan Wake, a famous writer, who is going on a vacation with his wife. Almost immediately strange things start to happen around Alan. After an unnatural event Alans wife disappears and now Alan have to find her. By his side he has his trustworthy friend Barry who will do anything to keep Alan safe. What I liked: The story isn't overstaying it's welcome and the game feels just long enough. The graphics are really good. Great sound effects and soundtrack. What I didn't like: The enemy variety could have been better. The controls can feel a little weird at first but you get used to them after a while. Great game and I hope we don't have to wait as long for a PC version of Alan Wake 2 as we did with this one.
