The perfect sequel

Zarek | April 28, 2014 | Review of Portal 2

Portal 2 makes much better what in the original Portal was yet great.

The gameplay is renewed by the introduction of new elements, like the light tunnels or the sticky gels. Also the plot is better-realised in every detail, and naturally the presence of both GLaDOS and Wheatley make the player laugh more than in the first episode. Portal 2 has also some new game modes, that make the game much longer: the co-op campaign, and the possibility to play test chambers realised by the community.

In conclusion, a must have for every player...

The cake is a lie!!!

This is a videogame masterpiece...

It's simply amazing how from a simple idea, Valve made a wonderful and completely new kind of puzzle game. In fact, the gameplay is the first revolutionary thing. You have to put portals in several rooms to pass on the other sides of them, solving many puzzles. If the first are really easy to make the player comfortable with the gameplay idea, than the rooms will be even more difficult to pass. But the most innovative thing is that the puzzles are structured as a first person shooter. The graphics use the same engine of Half-life 2, resulting pretty and the environment as really good physics.

However, in my opinion what makes this game incredible is the plot; in fact it's full of little and interesting particulars, with some reference to Half-life saga. Also the always sarcastic speaking voice of GLaDOS makes the experience much better.

To sum up, Portal is a great game under every aspect, and its only problem is the longevity ( you can finish the game in a few hours).

Fantastic Gameplay

Zarek | April 18, 2014 | Review of Hitman: Absolution

This is the first Hitman game I have ever played and I found it really interesting. I think the best point of this game is its gameplay. You have usually to kill some targets or doing some other similar actions, but the ways in which you can complete any mission are multiples: from killing directly the target, or making him dying poisoned, or simply eliminating him with a sniper rifle... The choices are nearly infinite and, in addition to them, you can take the more different weapons with you, or disguise yourself with an enormous number of costumes. The gameplay is that of a typical stealth game, but it's very refined in every single aspect. Also graphics are very nice, even if you want to play at low settings. These elements make the game good to be played again after you finish the story. The only element I didn't like much is the plot, sometimes really monotonous and predictable in my opinion.

I think everyone interested should buy this game if he likes the genre.
