Best purchase I've ever made for 2011

Zyinxz | Nov. 15, 2011 | Review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition

Where do I begin? The story was great. Within the first 10 minutes, I wanted to know more of the storyline. This isn't your generic game that you can easily pass on, especially with the gameplay replay value.

While I do like the storyline, I personally think it was too short. When you have a game like Deux EX:HR here, you would want the main story/gameplay to be at least 50 hours minimum, not 15 - 30hrs max. The side missions were alright, but I wished they could of at least brought in more close personal friends or family members of the main character and make them as the side missions rather then helping out an undercover cop prostitute.

I like these kind of games that makes you think outside the box. Makes you see the bigger picture. You don't want to go all out rambo? That's fine, you can be as sneaky as Batman. There are usually 2 approaches in getting from Point A to Point B. The usual and obvious path is the doors, and the other is the sneaky path where you get into vents to get where you want. This adds replay value to the game which of course, everybody loves replay values.

The graphics are great, but I can't say much for the cutscenes. I feel as if the cutscenes for the PC were an afterthought considering the fact that it looks rather bad then good. The cutscenes were most likely made for the console players then PC players.

Overall, this is a magnificent game that you don't want to miss out on. The main story gets you into the game, as well as the augmentations you unlock while progressing the game. The only thing I wish they would improve on is the cutscene quality.

Great experience

Zyinxz | Nov. 10, 2011 | Review of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - Digital Deluxe Edition

The single player campaign wasn't that great. I feel as if there's no real heart felt connection at all. It's just a matter of getting from point A to point B. The gameplay was mediocre at best. It might not be the very best, but if you're really bored one day, you might end up playing the campaign.

The multiplayer of the game was the main attraction. I expected a lot from RO2 MP, and it sure didn't disappoint me. This game requires tactics and great patience. While playing the game, I noticed that if you die, you'll be forced to learn from your mistake. Waiting 20 seconds just to respawn is a bit overkill, especially with the map size.

If you're looking for a PC game, this is it. For the price you pay, you really can't go wrong with this game unless the style isn't your cup of tea. This game isn't for everyone, you do need some practising in order to be one of the top dog.
