Great additions to a fantastic gamealexshopping | Oct. 19, 2013 | Review of Just Cause 2: DLC Collection
This is a great pack of fun vehicles and weapons that make an already ridiculous game more crazy and fun.
The Agency Hovercraft both responsive and really fun. The mounted grenade-launcher is super powered and an excellent addition.
The Black Market Aerial Pack gives you a far more maneuverable parachute, which makes travel far more easier and fun.
The Black Market Boom Pack gives you the Air Propulsion Gun, which can shoot power blats of compressed air that fling your enemies backward. This fits very well with the spirit of the game.
Rico's Signature Gun is a rather (over)-powered pistol that is very satisfying to use. Unfortunately you can't use it very long, as it has unique ammo not found in the rest of the game.
The other items and vehicles found in this pack also fit well with the game world and are icing on top of a very fine cake.
Fantasticalexshopping | Oct. 19, 2013 | Review of Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year
I just bought this now that they have removed the horrible Games for Windows Live DRM (I had previously played on the Xbox 360). The game is great. The combat system is very smooth and responsive and the stealth aspects fit perfectly for Batman. The game has an incredible atmosphere, and many little details (watching Batman's suit deteriorate is great). The voice acting is 2nd to none (especially Mark Hamil's Joker) although the story is very cliche ridden. This game is the best superhero game ever made, and I actually prefer it to it's successor as the liner gameplay is slightly more focused then the open world of Arkham City.
A solid pack, but not worth the price.alexshopping | Sept. 16, 2013 | Review of Sid Meier's Civilization® V - Double Civilization and Scenario Pack - Spain and Inca
This pack adds 2 new Civilizations. It also adds a new scenario.
The Incas are very fun to play as and have great bonuses (such as having no penalties for moving trough hill tiles). Spain is not nearly as good, with bonuses based on natural wonders (which are very luck based.)
The scenario included is a fun bonus, but not really anything special. I really like playing as the Incas, so I do like this pack, but for 7.50 it seems far too pricey. I would recommend getting the pack during a sale or with the gold edition of the game.
The Complete Experiencealexshopping | Sept. 14, 2013 | Review of Civilization Pack
Stock Civilization V feels rather empty. It's not a horrible game by any means, but the experience is rather vacuous. The expansion packs included in this pack make this one of the finest experience games I have ever played. They fix balance issues and add depth. Gods and Kings adds a spying system and finally adds back religion, which was sadly missing from stock Civ V. Brave New World adds quite a bit to the end-game by adding both the Wold Congress and tourism. This also helps diplomacy and culture play more like Civilization 4.
The game is very addicting, and every session seems to stretch on for a few hours despite your best intentions. It has a very high replayablity factor, which is expanded by the scenarios included and the mods on the Steam Workshop.
The expansions also fix various issues with the AI, and at higher difficulties, you can get a real challenge. This is a fantastic pack and highly recommended.
Very pretty and well made.alexshopping | Sept. 8, 2013 | Review of Sine Mora
This game has really well designed visuals that seamlessly merge the foreground and background. The can can be very difficult, but the "story mode" offers a difficulty level that is useful for those new to the shoot em up genre. The story is actually kind of interesting, and the Hungarian voice acting makes the world feel mysterious. I also like that when you are hit, you loose time (like in Time Crisis) instead of health.
Just Cause 2 is Fantasticalexshopping | Sept. 8, 2013 | Review of Just Cause Pack
The map for this game is huge, and while the missions can get old, playing in the sandbox never does. You have a grapple hook! Very addictive.
