Classic throwback well executed

amnv | Dec. 10, 2013 | Review of Superfrog HD - PC

This game is great fun, although its almost 20 years old. The gameplay hasn't changed much, but the HD update went over very well, and the graphics look crisp and clean. Its good fun as a standard platformer, resembling the sonic series' gameplay aspects, while retaining its own unique vibe. Its quirky style of art and sound, level design, and gameplay all go in to making this a good retro platformer. A good buy for someone looking to get back to the old days.

Awesome Multiplayer!

amnv | Dec. 10, 2013 | Review of Worms Revolution Overflow - PC

Let's be honest, worms can't really go wrong. The multiplayer is just chaotic, thrilling fun every game, and with many ways to play, there's hours of fun to be had playing with friends. The single player isn't really all that much fun, but playing it is totally optional, giving you plenty of time to mess around online with friends and even strangers. The 3D look with the 2D gameplay makes the game look incredibly fluid. Not many framedrops to speak of and the textures are smooth as ever. The worms customization area makes for some pretty hilarious experiences. This game is pure multiplayer fun and is the party-up game of choice for many people . Get this game, you will not be dissapointed!

So much fun!

amnv | Dec. 10, 2013 | Review of All Zombies Must Die - PC

Simple but fun gamplay, fast but attractive graphics, this truly is a great game. Fighting off the hordes of zombies with the arsenal of weapons at your disposal can have a surprising amount of enjoyable replay value. The game excels at fast, exciting gameplay, which is especially admirable in such a small, inexpensive package. This is definitely a game to pick up if you are looking for something a little on the cheap side, and something a little different. It's truly a great little game and I see no reason not to grab it. Pick this game up today and play for weeks! You will not be dissapointed!

amnv | Dec. 10, 2013 | Review of Sniper Elite V2 - PC

The idea of sniping is always fun. This game showcases sniping while giving off a great WW2 atmosphere. The story lacks slightly and the graphics aren`t going to blow you away, but the fun comes from the slo mo cam, the stealth, the weapons and the xray shots. The hard difficuties take wind and bullet drop into account, and your player`s resting heart rate affects the direction as well. The game`s multiplayer isn`t the best, but the DLC for the game is quite good. From Hitler to zombies, there`s plenty to do in the game besides the standard campaign. All in all, it`s a pretty good game that you should consider if you feel the need for something a little different.

amnv | Dec. 10, 2013 | Review of Batman Arkham City Game of the Year Overflow 1 - PC

Where to start... easily one of the best games I've ever played. The story is wonderfully dark, and the fighting in game is superb. The fluid motions and easy to chain attacks made this more than a pleasure to play. The map is large, and it feels as though it is a real, living, breathing wasteland prison. The atmosphere is beautiful, unmatched in any game since. The fallacy set by the conditions of the camp lets you know how the game may play out. For a superhero fan, there is no better choice. Many of Batman's villans are here for your enjoyment, waiting to be defeated. Some become allies, all are incredibly difficult, which only adds to the fun. BUY THIS GAME, NOW.

Great Concept. Great Execution.

amnv | Dec. 9, 2013 | Review of LA Noire Steam - PC

Although not as action-packed and loud as Rockstar's other titles, LA Noire instead has a dark, twisted story and a great detective role to play. You, as Cole Phelps, will examine crime scenes for evidence, interrogate witnesses, and try to solve mysteries and murders, all while dealing with your own inner conflict. A truly great storyline, and an excellent new facial animations system by the devlopers, using actual actor's facial movements for the characters, adding a new dimension to the game. Use this to tell if a person is telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Its only downfall is the lack of replay value, with a standard driving free roam after the main story, with nothing left to do but find fancy mid-40's rides. All in all, a good buy if you're looking for some mystery.

Lots of fun!

amnv | Dec. 9, 2013 | Review of Worms Ultimate Mayhem - PC

This game has very good visuals, animations, and sound. The gameplay is, well, worms! Explosions, sheep, exploding sheep... Tons of fun to play with friends as you try to dominate their army of worms on an excellent 3D battlefield. Lots of weapons, landscapes, and everything else you've come to expect from worms. It's easy to play, and fun too. The only problem is it's a little easier and slightly less competitive than its 2D predecessors. Many of the old tricks don't work and it's a little easy to score kills. Thankfully, all new gameplay modifiers are thrown in to make the game just a little more hectic. Faster movement, larger explosions, and super melee are just a few of the changes you can make to form your own custom worms experience. A good buy for sure!
