"Shut up" and drive!

andrealbu | June 12, 2015 | Review of Euro Truck Simulator 2 STEAM - PC

Euro Truck Simulator 2 drives you in uncountable hours of pure, simple and relaxing entertainment. Through the roads of central Europe this game gives you the possibility to feel like a real delivery-man loading lots of different cargoes in numerous trucks. Visually the game has had an astonishing enhancement since the previous euro truck simulator though with time the scenarios tend to get repetitive and annoying. One aspect that caught my curiosity was that you can easily find and listen to numerous radio stations from the available countries which really gives you a relaxing sensation. Driving through different cities and particularly different countries leads you to diverse sights, roads and, of course, driving rules. I found the map to be quite simplistic and monotonous and Mediterranean countries such as Portugal and Spain were left out of the game for my own frustration. Nevertheless, the recent add of steam achievements is a great way to extend the life-time of the game by bringing new motivation to keep playing.

47 ways to kill

andrealbu | June 8, 2015 | Review of Hitman Blood Money Steam - PC

Think before you act its most important thought to keep in mind while playing this amazing game. In fact that is the key to success when you play through several stealth missions with rich environments and well-designed levels. The mechanics show a major improvement from previous games and the visuals look cool for the time of release (2006). In resume, it's a game that asks for your imagination and for that you will find it to be very rewarding.

You Shall NOT Get Bored!

andrealbu | June 8, 2015 | Review of LEGO Lord of the Rings - PC

Simply the best and most diverse lego game around. I played the entire game and enjoyed it from the beginning until the end, i found it to be great when you play it with friends. I did every achievement and it felt like never before. One thing is for sure LEGO Lord of the Rings will drain all your time in a pleasant and entertaining way. Lego games are full of that amazing sarcastic humour that characterizes this series and LEGO Lord of the Rings is not an exception. Visuals are what you would expect from a lego game, not overwhelming but satistying. You should definitely give this game a try if you're a LOTR fan.

Back to business

andrealbu | June 8, 2015 | Review of Hitman Absolution NA - PC

Having previously played hitman blood money, i thought to myself that Square Enix couldn't possibly do a better job, god i was wrong. The mechanics remain pretty much the same, though this time a solid backstory was created which adds a whole new freshness to the game. The visuals look stunning and show off a huge improvement. Definite buy for fans of the series and a great way to get introduced to agent 47 for newcomers.

Best Civilization so far

andrealbu | April 21, 2014 | Review of Civilization V Complete - PC

I've quickly spent over 80 hours playing this game and still i do not know everything there is to discover around this game. The complete edition with all the add-ons is an excellent appeal for this magnificent must buy game. The replayability allied to a strong AI, massive mechanics and beatiful scenarios makes this game almost perfect for strategy lovers.

Simply Amazing

andrealbu | Dec. 30, 2013 | Review of Bioshock Infinite Post Overflow - PC

Bioshock Infinite brings to life a new story with stunning first class characters and actors that quickly empathize with anyone who plays it. The bioshock series were never much about gameplay or visuals and neither is this one. Instead it delivers a bunch of doubts, secrecy and feelings that captures the attention of any player. Elizabeth plays a central role in the game and its amazing to see her evolution over the course of it. The first hour of game (mainly introduction) and the last one were some of the best "moments" I experienced playing a game.

Back to a beautiful world

andrealbu | Dec. 22, 2013 | Review of BioShock 2 Steam - PC

After the greatness of the original Bioshock comes this sequel telling a whole new story about Rapture and its people. Bioshock 2 lives to expectations and unravels new perspectives. It feels great playing as a Big Daddy and as a little sister, though the latter may feel very mechanical. The FPS experience is as solid as never before and the gameplay for me is better than the original. The variety of weapons, both old and new ones only improves the game. The adding of a multiplayer mode is a good feature though its incomparably worse than the singleplayer campaign. The story, just as the original, is the better part of this experience, full of dark drama and twists again.

A Jewel

andrealbu | Dec. 20, 2013 | Review of BioShock Overflow 1 - PC

Bioshock is a must have game and an abnormal FPS, by its added elements of RPG and by its dark, inspiring and twisted story. The mechanics are fluid and converge to a solid gameplay. The graphics are great for a 2007 game and help you to integrate and understand the world that surrounds you. The gunplay is ok, like any other average shooter.

General improvement though with new flaws

andrealbu | July 7, 2013 | Review of Poker Night 2 - PC

This new Poker Night brings new characters to the picture, though it remains it's proper fun. Brock Samson, Sam, Ash Williams, Claptrap and GLaDOS offer truly memorable moments, however most of them get more repetitive than in the first game. Steam achievements are easier (for example straight flush and four of a kind aren't anymore required and bounty trophies aren't won for kicking a player out but for winning a tournament). Difficulty levels options were also erased though this isn't a problem regarding to the gameplay. Furthermore, there are many items unlockable for Borderlands 2 and Team Fortress 2.

Best tennis game around

andrealbu | July 3, 2013 | Review of Virtua Tennis 4 (1) - PC

Though it lacks some proper ajustments there isn't simply better a game of tennis to play in your pc.Gameplay is solid and fluid, the graphics are outstanding and it's career mode easily drains you for a while. The mini-games presented are fun to play particularly with some friends around. The main problem of this game is that it gets boring quite easily after you spent some time on it.
