Great Shooting Gameaznsnsn | Sept. 13, 2013 | Review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The Call of Duty series has morphed a lot since it first started. This game has a wide variety of weapons and perks. The graphics are great, and the movement mechanics are very smooth. One of the best parts of this game is the multiplayer. The many different online modes adds a lot of variety to this game. With the many rank ups and prestiging, gamers will have lots of fun playing this first person shooter. The plot has many twists that will draw in players. Combining different weapons and perks can help to create a fun and versatile player to play with. Overall, this is a good deal.
GTA BIG FUNaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
This game has such a huge world. There are so many different things to do, from police, taxi, pimp, racing, quest missions and more. The skills system and the ability to get fat or skinny just like real life make this game very dynamic and entertaining. The customization is also very great. San Andreas is such a big world, fly a jet pack over the sky scrapers, or race around in lowriders. The graphics are not the best, and the textures are so-so, but what makes the game so great is openness of the world you are placed into. I have spent many hours exploring the huge world this game has to offer. This is definitely a great buy.
Great Sci Fiaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Quake IV
The plot of this game is well developed with many twists that leave the player wanting to see and find out more. This is a great FPS, just like Doom 3. The graphics are ok, and the textures are workable. The variety of guns really makes it fun to keep playing this game and shooting up strogg. The ai is strongly built, which makes the game challenging and interesting. The game is not exactly realistic with the ability to carry so much ammo and many different guns, but who cares? Afterall more variety in killing machines equals great entertainment. Gamers should definitely try this out.
One of the Best in the seriesaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty has progressed a lot from its origins in the second world war. There are many classes added, with a large variety of weapons to choose from. With many different add-ons and perks, this game is very versatile, especially in the multiplayer mode with ranking and prestiging. The story line gives a nice history lesson mixed with a lot of action. One of the best parts of this game is definitely the Zombies mode. This mode has people fighting it out and trying to survive against stronger and stronger waves. This mode also throws in many fun guns like the zeus cannon. This is a great game that many people will spend hours playing. This game is definitely worth spending money on.
Very Entertainingaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Psychonauts
This game is designed towards younger kids, but it is really rated e for everyone. The storyline is very dynamic and interesting. The combat system is also well developed, with many different techniques to use to get around. The graphics are of a somewhat cartoonish quality but the textures are kind of nice. Sometimes, it can be confusing on what to do to continue on to the next level. There were many funny gags in the storyline that draw quite a few laughs. The controls with a keyboard are smooth and work out very well for those used to it.You should try it out yourself!
Historical Strategy Gameaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Sid Meier's Civilization® IV Complete [Playfire]
Do you have a taste for history? This game incorporates the world's history all the way into the present and a predicted future. One game going through all the different ages can literally take hours as you try to expand or conquer. There is a rich blend of fighting, developing, decision making, and diplomacy. The graphics are nothing special, but what makes this game so great is the complexity. It goes into a lot of detail using many cultural and societal developments. There are just a couple problems where you may lag very late game, because in 1 turn, so many things will happen at once that it will take a while before your turn arrives again. Overall it is a great game for developing your mind.
Amazing RPGaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Fallout 3
Just like the elderscrolls, fallout 3 utilizes a loot system. Going through the different locations trying to find better and stronger guns is what makes the game so fun. Although its hard to get all the skills to 100 without planning, it is still possible to become a one man do all, from being a big gun tanker to a melee ninja assassin. The VATS part of the combat system is definitely the best. Who doesn't like slow motion kill cam shots? There are glitches where you fall through a hole sometimes, but it resets you back where you were so its really not a problem. The karma system allows you play how you wanna be, from a merciless jerk to a nice saint. This is a great game from Bethesda.
Better than everaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider this time around is so much different from its predecessors. Remember when you had draw your gun, turn left or right slowly, or press a run button? Those days are long gone. This third person shooter has a well developed combat system with many fun and interesting ways to kill enemies, from an axe melee or bow snipe. The plot is very interesting and makes you want to rush through to see how it all ends. The way Lara is developed as the game progresses really draws players into the game. The multiplayer mode is also fantastic. The many different upgrades make it worth continuing to play online, and you can burn many hours trying to rank up. Overall, this is the best Tomb Raider game in existence.
Intense Action Thrilleraznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Crysis 2: Maximum Edition (NA)
A great and challenging game. The graphics are very nice. The combat system is very well developed. The different suit modes combined with the various weapon upgrades makes fighting very fun. Since the character is pretty much created to be a one man army, you will have lots of fun blasting through hordes of enemies. The plot is very intriguing and draws in the player, making you want to spend more hours trying to finish each level. Sneaking or tanking are both very great viable options that are both challenging and rewarding. I think the whole suit scenario is what makes the game so great. Any gamer should definitely try it out.
Parkour funaznsnsn | Sept. 12, 2013 | Review of Mirror's Edge (NA)
This is the first decent game I have found that incorporates parkour and shooting together. The many different kinds of tricks that you can pull out going all over the map really sets this game apart from most rpgs. The graphics are a cross between half-life 2 and portal with a little more cartoonish edge. Following the plot line in a comic strip like 2D setting does make this game seem a little less than it could ahve been. The combat system is realistic, where you slow down depending on the size of your gun and the inability to hold multiple clips of ammo, making the game somewhat strategic. This game has put an interesting twist on rpgs and is worth the money.
Amazingaznsnsn | Sept. 11, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition
This was my first real RPG. Oblivion has so much action and plot in it, that it would take hours to finish. The added DLC make the game even funner and more interesting. The ability to change from third person to first person allows you to play with different styles. The graphics are very intriguing and draw you into the game world. The combat system is very diverse and allows many different and cool ways to kill enemies. When you at last finally beat the last quest, maxed out all your levels, there is still modding. Adding mods increases the amount of time you spend having fun while testing out new creations from other players. This is definitely worth emptying your wallet for.
Wonderful RPGaznsnsn | Sept. 11, 2013 | Review of The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition
This game reminds me a lot of Fable. The fighting system is smooth. One of the things that is annoying about this game is how the beginning is ridiculously more difficult than the end. The graphics are stunning on high though, but it will be hard to tell unless you happen to have a very very good graphics card. The plot line is seamless and with many twists that will keep you hooked. You could literally spend many hours trying all the quests, getting better weapons and loot, and having fun with the different spells. Gamers should really buy this game and try it out for themselves.
Great Gameaznsnsn | Sept. 11, 2013 | Review of Resident Evil 6
A lot of people have been saying that this game sucks. I honestly disagree. One of the annoying things about resident evil was the inability to shoot and move at the same time. The melee attacks have been revamped, making killing zombies even funner with various counter attacks and coup-de-grace. I like the creepiness that leon's campaign brings back into the series. Overall, a great buy.
Zombie!!!?????Not!aznsnsn | Sept. 11, 2013 | Review of Resident Evil 5
This game is rather a lot like the 4th game. The weapon upgrading system is one of the most rewarding parts of the game. The coop mode makes the game a lot easier as you have a partner to help you with taking out enemies and reviving. This game differs a lot from most shooters because of the inability to walk when shooting, but also adds a bit of an intriguing challenge. Overall very fun, This is a must have for online multiplayer whether it be the story mode or mercenaries.
A Totally New Worldaznsnsn | Sept. 11, 2013 | Review of BioShock Infinite (NA)
If you came to this game thinking of the previous Bioshock games, you will be in for a surprise. The new system makes the game more challenging and interesting, as you can longer have such a huge stash of health and salts ready to go for every battle. There is a bigger need for actual tactics rather than just running in and tanking. The rail lines and tears add a new and welcome dimension to the series. This FPS is definitely worth the money.
Absolutely Intriguingaznsnsn | Sept. 11, 2013 | Review of Borderlands 2 (NA)
The storyline is very interesting and attention grabbing. The loot system is a little similar to that of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series which help to make it somewhat addicting to try to grab better loot, although the randomization of weapons could be a little better as sometimes there is terrible luck in getting a strong gun when you need it. There have been moments where I have run and somehow gotten stuck in an invisible pothole for a couple seconds here and there, but i'm certain that such a small annoyance will be patched eventually. The game can be a little difficult at times, but with persistance comes greatness. This is a game that will keep you entertained for many, many hours.
