Still awesome! Don't listen to metacritic!blckrockshtr | Nov. 16, 2013 | Review of Batman Arkham Origins
I've played all the previous arkham games and they were all great. Origins stays true to the formula and the end product was something that I expected. Also, the PC version is every bit stable as the console, I've not encountered any issues or bugs while playing. While the game hasn't really broke any new grounds, the mechanics that were carried over from the previous games were tweaked to the finest. The combo system is responsive as ever, the range of gadgets has been expanded, and the story is still every bit engaging as the previous entries. Overall, it was a great experience to get back into the role of the cape crusader. This game proves that you don't need to reinvent the formula for a great game! Most critics out there are complaining that it's more of the same, but what's there not to like about the same good gameplay that made the first two games great?
Awesome improvement!blckrockshtr | Nov. 11, 2013 | Review of Battlefield 4 (NA)
Overall, BF4 exceeded all my expectations of what a battlefield game traditionally offers. I remember playing the campaign for BF3 and felt that it could have had more potential. BF4 has done just that, it held on to it's potential and realized it! The overall campaign just feels more tightly packed and explosive than ever. Well, especially with the frostbite engine, and the level of destructibility, I'd say that the engine is fully utilized. This is more so true for multiplayer. Maps environments could change several times during a match and makes things exiciting. I have both COD and BF4, and I personally prefer BF4 more just because of the innovation they've put in this time around. COD is still solid, but just felt like a rehash. So yeah, get BF4, you won't regret it!
Nice revampblckrockshtr | Nov. 11, 2013 | Review of Call of Duty: Ghosts (NA)
The game is what you'd expect from regular COD fans with some nice set pieces and a marginally well done story. The campaign is your typical take revenge cliche but does shine in its execution. No previous knowledge of modern warfare series is required. I thoroughly enjoyed the single player campaign, but multiplayer is where the game shines. I was a bit disappointed at the amount of PC players though, it seems that over the years, most people have went over to the consoles when it comes to COD multiplayer...otherwise the multiplayer is on par with what I've experienced in the previous CODs.
