Nothing like is should have been.

bradleeh | March 25, 2013 | Review of Dead Island

I think everyone else and I had a different picture in mind about this game. I had pictured it as trying to survive a zombie apocalypse while helping other people and trying to get off the island. Well, there's no surviving what-so-ever. All you do is kill zombies and weird creatures. You don't have to eat, sleep, or drink. You can't go out and scavenge for supplies and share it with the rest of the group. Next, you have to help everyone else while no one tries to help you. No one will follow you. They will send you to dangerous locations without coming with you. So if you are playing single player, you will have a very difficult time trying to beat this game. Next, the weapons. After using a weapon a couple of times, it will break on you. A metal bar will magically fall apart. That isn't to realistic. Guns are pointless. You can never find ammo for them and when you do, they're still pointless. You can shoot a zombie right in the head and it will barely hurt it. There are more than just zombies, you have creatures that blow up on you, giant zombies that are impossible to kill, and fat zombies that puke on you. The only fun part for me was killing normal zombies. Other than that, wasn't to fun for me.

Could have been better.

bradleeh | March 25, 2013 | Review of Sniper: Ghost Warrior PRE

The game is a pretty fun. If you enjoy sneaking around, taking stealth kills, and sniping from a long range, then this game is for you. Now, like most stealth games, this one does have alot of bugs. You can be sneaking around and get spotted by a dude that's far away. Sometimes he won't even be looking at you. Next, instead of having to figure out wind and bullet drop yourself, there is a little red dot that appears in your scope that shows you where the bullet is actually going to hit. If the A.I. was better and the sniping was more of a challenge, then this game would have been one of the best games on the market. The graphics on this game are excellent. The world around you is very detailed and diverse. There will be some tall trees here and next to it will be shrubs and bushes along with some open areas. The replayablity of this game isn't so good. Once you beat it once, there will be nothing making you want to do it again. You will already know where the enemies are, their routes, and how to sneak past. Hopefully S.G.W. 2 will improve on all the bugs part 1 had. All in all, you would probably be better off renting the game for a couple of days rather than buy it unless you absolutely love stealth and sniping games. It does't take that long to beat it.

Best of its Time

bradleeh | March 25, 2013 | Review of Grand Theft Auto III DNS

Grand Theft Auto III was the first game that I can remember. I was only about 3 or 4 years old and saw my cousins playing it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I went and got my own PS2 and GTA III. It was awesome. The graphics were the most realistic thing I had saw at that time. The graphics can still try to compete with some games today. The gameplay was phenomenal. My whole family (mom, dad, cousin, sister, and even grandma) loved this game. We would play it, beat it, and play it again. This game will never get old. You can do missions, kill people, explore, or jump ramps. Looking back at it now makes it even better. Just knowing that it led to arguable the greatest series ever made. It even led to clone series like Saints Row. To sum it up, great game even now in 2013. I would highly recommend this game to anyone and everyone.

Fun if you have a friend.

bradleeh | March 25, 2013 | Review of Resident Evil 5

This is the first Resident Evil I have really played. I have to say it is very fun. Especially if you have a friend with you. I will admit though, playing alone can get boring really fast. Me and my friend had some really good laughs playing this game. The gameplay is really fun. You can formulate a strategy if you have a friend with you. One have long range weapons while the other gets up close and personal. There are also puzzles in the game that require you to really use your brain. We were stuck for a couple of hours on one puzzle. The graphics are really good. The game pays good attention to detail. It is also pretty gory. Blood will be everywhere when you get a headshot. The game will take alot of time to complete. It won't be a short campaign like Call of Duty or games like that. All in all it is a good game and even better if you have a friend playing with you.

Not what it could have been.

bradleeh | March 24, 2013 | Review of Napoleon: Total War

The game was good...but not great. First off, I'll start will the goods things about the game. The graphics were really good. I was surprised by how realistic everything looked. When you get into battles, you really have to have a good strategy or you will suffer heavy losses or completely lose the battle. I liked the difficulty of the battles. Naval battles were cool (personally, I sucked at them) and really makes you think about your navy unlike in previous games like Rome. Now with the not so good stuff. The campaign map was to complex. Trying to manage your cities and armies were way to hard. I preferred the simplicity of Rome. Next was the bugs. Artillery units will need constant supervision. You leave your artillery units for one minute to manage your other units during combat and next thing you know, they are shooting into the ground instead of aiming at a different enemy unit. Enemy artillery will do the same thing...just shoot into the ground instead of changing position or aiming at another unit. Altogether, the game is good...but not great.

Great interactive Game

bradleeh | March 24, 2013 | Review of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Nexway

In Skyrim, you can interact with just about anything. There are no generic characters. Every character has a personality. You can pick your side in a war that is going on, play as a bandit or law-abiding citizen, and do just about anything. The graphics may not be the best that you've ever seen, but for a game of this magnitude, they are good. The combat system is really simple yet realistic. The game has a great stealth system. Lastly, the skill tree. It lets you choose what type of player you want to be. An up close and personal warrior, a long range archer, or a destructive magician. You can't go wrong buying this game.
