Open-World Shooter Paradisecanis89 | April 28, 2013 | Review of Far Cry 3 - PC
Far Cry 3 is without a doubt a great open-world shooter game. If you have played Far Cry 2 and felt that it hasn't fully realized its potential, then Far Cry 3 is peak of the series. It has everything that Far Cry 2 lacked, and improved it. Adding towards the big paradise islands that you can roam freely, the main selling point for me is the wild animals. You can hunt and be hunted by animals. Heck, I have even encountered a road block at the edge of a jungle, glittered with bodies from those who are stupid enough to get out of their car to engage in men versus komodos standout. RPG elements have also been added. For those of you experience-maniac, now you can indeed gain experience points from killing your enemies, including the animals. You can also skin animals to make the accessories you need: bigger ammo pouch and shark-skin wallet to store more money! Terminated from the last outing is the malaria, deteriorating guns and enemy outpost respawn. You are no more plagued by any disease while fighting pirates. But for the hardcores, you may miss the definitely the deterioating guns, well, I do. Once taken, now your outposts can be occupied by your friendly local guerrilas. Finally, mod capabilities is still there and therefore create infinite replayability for the game. So, all in all, this is a game worth buying if you really like the genre of free-roam shooter. Definitely check it out if you want to command an army of komodos to raid a hostile outpost!
